White House: Americans Are Obliged to Aid More Migrants
Americans are obliged to help bring more foreigners into their American society, White House spokesman John Kirby told reporters in a briefing ahead of President Joe Biden’s meeting with Mexico’s president on Monday and Tuesday.
“You can’t forget that … we do, as a nation of immigrants, have an obligation to provide better tools and pathways for them to come in,” Kirby told reporters in the White House.
The “Nation of Immigrants” narrative was invented in the 1950s by advocates for more migration. Biden and his deputies are pushing that claim to justify their importation of more illegal migrants above the limits set by Congress.
Kirby also said Biden is trying to “balance” the additional immigrant inflow with actions that merely “curb” — but not stop — the illegal migration that is strongly opposed by most Americans:

quote:
This is a President who understands that safe and legal immigration into this country is a key cornerstone of our own security and prosperity, and that he is advancing ways to improve those legal pathways to entry … and that the illegal migration is curbed as best as we can.

My Administration is using the tools available to limit illegal migration, expand legal pathways to immigration, and increase security. The approach we’re taking is based on a model we know works. But to truly fix our broken immigration system, Congress needs to act.

We don't have any obligation to these people. That is false. And a bit funny from the government which has gained its power from randomly attacking sovereign nations.
But the Biden administration does have an obligation to uphold the Constitution and enforce the laws, because that's what their oath of office says.

frick that shite. Maybe this administration can take measures to aid my rising grocery bill and health insurance premiums. Stop sending money to Ukraine and close the fricking border.

So instead of carrying out the law, this WH actively fights against them.
And nothing happens cuz of feelings.

These people don't want to come to this country and pay taxes. They want to get free shite and send money back to their home country.
Aside from sales tax, there is no upside for US taxpayers. And that doesn't come close to covering the increased burden on healthcare, welfare, schools, etc.
Get in line. Get your green card. Pay your taxes like everybody else. Then you can come in.

The “Nation of Immigrants” narrative was invented in the 1950s by advocates for more migration.

More than 44.9 million immigrants lived in the United States in 2019, the historical numeric high since census records have been kept. In 2019, immigrants comprised 13.7 percent of the total U.S. population
quote:LINK
As a percentage of total population, the foreign-born population rose from 9.7 percent in 1850 and fluctuated in the 13 percent to 15 percent range from 1860 to 1920 before dropping to 11.6 percent in 1930. The highest percentages foreign born were 14.4 percent in 1870, 14.8 percent in 1890 and 14.7 percent in 1910.
From 1930 to 1950, the foreign-born population of the United States declined from 14.2 million to 10.3 million, or from 11.6 percent to 6.9 percent of the total population. These declines reflected the extremely low level of immigration during the 1930s and 1940s.
None of that says that we are “obligated” to allow further on immigration, by any means. It simply demonstrates that the first-quoted allegation is just false.

Start with a totally false premise of being obligated, and stack the horseshite as high as possible. These people have lost their minds.

Ok. Let’s quadruple the buses running to all the “sanctuary cities”. Have this note pinned to the shirt of the first person off every bus.

We only have an obligation to those immigrants who come to this country LEGALLY and have a desire to become CITIZENS, not residents.

This "Nation of Immigrants" bullshite narrative needs to die.
The HARD-WORKING immigrants who spilled their blood on the soil to help make this Nation great did NOT come here to become welfare queens and breed generations of more welfare queens.
To compare what's happening in 2023 to those immigrants who busted their asses to make something of their lives is insulting and just a flat out gdamned lie.

I don't think that's why the majority are coming here. They're coming here to work and find a better life.
That said, they need to come through legally
Posted on 1/12/23 at 6:36 am to Jack Carter
Yeah no.
We really don’t need to do any of that.
So sick of the frickery going on in the raisin brain cabal.

Yep, some are.
But some are not.
Along with the people wanting a better life who are crossing the open border are murderers, rapists, thieves and baby factories.
Are we willing to sacrifice the lives of decent, hardworking Americans in the name of open borders to find out is the real question.
Plus, ultimately, this is about Democrats wanting to add dependents.

Even if I accepted the premise, which I don’t, my first question would be: how many more? Put a number to it. They won’t because the purpose is to overwhelm the system, not help anyone.

What is your point? Nothing that I posted says that we were obligated.
Then you point to something that Biden said? I did not agree with Biden.
Friend, you are off your game today.

Exactly.
The Democrats don't care about people, period, it's a ruse.

This may ultimately be true.
Then again, have you compared the plethora of govt aide the modern illegal immigrants receive to the simple "land of opportunity" the immigrants received in the 1800s thru the 1950s?
Turn off the spigot of taxpayer $ and the flood recedes to a drip. Then the ones coming in truly want to immigrate to become citizens, not residents.

Americans have ZERO obligations to Low IQ, Uneducated, Unskilled Illegal Immigrants. We owe them NOTHING. They should be shipped back to the shitholes in which they came from. All of them.
