Candace Owens thinks Purina may be poisoning hens to increase their profit margins

Purina was brought up earlier this week by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who has referred to egg price increases as a conspiracy perpetrated by the media and Biden administration.
Carlson said that “some farmers who deal with chickens every day are not convinced” by the blame given to the avian outbreak, supply chain issues, and increased costs of packaging and transportation intertwined with higher-than-normal rates of inflation.
“Now healthy hens lay eggs on a regular basis, every 24 to 26 hours. But suddenly, chicken owners all over the country—not all of them, but a lot of them—are reporting they’re not getting any eggs or as many,” Carlson said. “So what’s causing that? Clearly, something is causing that. Some have concluded their chicken feed may be responsible.”
Ralston Purina Company sold its domestic agricultural feed subsidiary in 1986 to Purina Mills Incorporated, which was acquired by Land O’Lakes in 2001. Nestlé Purina PetCare licenses the Purina trademarks to Land O’Lakes, according to a January 31 statement from Nestlé Purina.
“At Nestlé Purina Petcare, our business is to make pet care products solely for dogs and cats,” Bill Etling, spokesperson for Nestle’ Purina Petcare, told Newsweek. “We do not make the chicken feed that has been mentioned in recent news coverage and on social media.
“Purina Animal Nutrition, which is owned by Land O’Lakes, makes farm feed for a variety of livestock and farm animals, including chicken feed,” he added.
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has also strongly rebuked all claims of chicken feed negatively affecting egg production.

I am trying to understand why they would do it, while actually believing their feed is causing laying issues.
Maybe, an accident while trying to make cheaper (more profitable) feed? Or, maybe, they are just controlled by the WEF and they are trying to set up a food crises.

What I find interesting is how much $$$ Canada has benefitted from the egg crisis. The USDA removed restrictions on imported eggs from Canada. Eggs are not currently allowed across the Mexico border. Right now there are thousand of boxes of eggs confiscated by customs that are awaiting disposal.

She's right though. Just look at dozens of chicken famers on YT coming to the same conclusion. This is not conspiracy; this is observed, documented. Those that have both free-range and captive chickens keep coming up with the same conclusion. Let this sort itself out before you get too fired up about it.

I can accept that being the case. But knowingly killing off your customers just means less sales and your margins won’t increase enough to make up for the shortfall in sales. It’s bad math.

When I first joined here I talked about a call that I was on years ago. This is when I worked for the largest retailer in Canada in the produce buying division. The CEO (George Weston) had been an attendee of Bilderburg. Anyway, the call was about how in the future governments needed to work hand in hand with retail and academia and guide how and what people would be eating. From distribution of food to sustainability initiatives. That call has always made me shutter when I read what is going on currently. So I don’t discount these “conspiracy” takes outright. But if these conspiracies are real then the best thing you can do is get right with Jesus because the end times are here.

No it doesn't. The hens might not be laying but you still have to feed them in the hope at some point and time they start laying again. The girl I buy my eggs from went through this. Her hens didn't lay for over two months but she still had to feed them. They finally started producing again about three weeks ago. There are several factors that go into chickens laying eggs but she said she had never had a 2-3 month drought that she went through with her hens and she has been raising laying hens for about five years.

One of my hens died unexpectedly two weeks ago. She appeared to be the healthiest of the punch and was still laying at the time of death. I have another that is less than 1y.o. that is starting to have so.e unexpected health issues. Coincidence? Maybe

There is a level of truth to this. My parents have chickens and switched over to goat feed because they weren't laying any eggs for months and its worked. Something is going on with chicken feed.

I guess one needs to ask, does Purina or one of its subsidiaries own a chicken laying company?
If so then why not send your competitors tainted feed while keeping the good feed for your own. Competitors can’t lay eggs causing prices to skyrocket while you maintain your level of production or increase. Profits out the wazoo at that point.
