Jax might actually really give us some juice. They don't really have anyone that can defend a lob.

We need some energy out there. Maybe Kira

It’s bad. He’s not even a 3 pt threat. Better off just having JV out there right now

Like someone mentioned in another thread, it’s like he’s moving with cinderblocks on his feet.

Something ain't right with Nance. He needs the bench. See what you got in Jax.

Jax doesn't get enough credit for his lateral movement on D. He is really good defending horizontally. I just wish he was better defending the rim

Nance has zero explosion. Looks like an old man

Probably had a high ankle sprain. He was out for 2 weeks at the end of February and came back looking pretty stiff.

He went from playing 25+ minutes to now just 10-15 minutes. This is probably something he's going to have to deal with the rest of the season and that's not good limping into the playoffs with no bench.

So far this season, Larry Nance has been on the injury report for the following things:

Left knee hyperextension
Right Achilles soreness
Right shoulder soreness
Neck contusion/spasms
Right shoulder soreness again
Left groin soreness
Left ankle sprain

I love Larry, and I think it’s admirable that he’s roughing it out and wants to play. But it seems these injuries have taken a toll on his body :/

Larry still moves a lot faster than Val. And he’s so much smarter than Jax he can make up for his lack of explosion with IQ. He’s still our best option at the 5 on defense by a mile even in this state.

Looked like he was back healthy in the 1st half against golden state, but I guess he’s not all the way to early season Nance yet. We will NEED him to show up come play-in/playoffs. Val will be even more of a complete liability.

Unless we play at Val’s pace and matchup against Denver.

Zion would be out for the next decade while an older man at least guts it out trying to help his team.

One is a 23yo superstar and one is a bench player. They might be treated differently

Superstars actually get in shape, show up and play in games. The guy is an overrated fat slob until he becomes at least half as reliable as AD.

This thread is about Larry Nance, start your own thread if you want to bitch about Zion.

Larry's stats since returning from the injury

10 games played
33 total points
3.3 PPG
36 Rebounds
3.6 rebounds per game
0 blocks

Rim protection = NIL

Compared to the 10 games pre-injury (not counting the game he actually got hurt in)

86 points
8.6 PPG
83 rebounds
8.3 rebounds per game
5 blocks

Dude is clearly not right.

Right and why are people ragging on Nance, an older guy that actually shows up to play the game despite being banged up while they bow down to a 22 year old that is completely unreliable? Nance was very integral in even making the playoffs last year and where was that other guy last season? Same as today. Sitting and watching again.

He's always been very injury prone. Tore his ACL in college, and had knee surgery last year. He's never played more than 67 games in a season. I would sit Larry until the playoffs to get healthy and play Jax.

Who do you think is ragging on Nance? The entire thread is about him being slowed by the injuries he's playing through.
