The car market seems like its gotten even worse.

I have been keeping any eye on the car market because sometime in the next year I would like to purchase a new car. I kept seeing articles saying prices are expected to fall in 2023 but it seems like they are still going up. Finding a full size SUV used or new for under $55k is pretty damn difficult. I could afford to spend more but I have a hard time spending a lot of money on cars when every time you start it you lose money.

The "CAR" market is bad...the "SUV/TRUCK" market is hot.

Will be artificially inflated for perpetuity. Good luck.

You're shopping wrong if you're concerned with the total price

Dealerships in Louisiana are empty right now. All Star Denhams lot doesn’t have any trucks. Crazy.

They're preparing us for the high priced, greedy profit EVs that aren't worth the high prices. Manufacturers are presently ramping up EV production and are trying to immediately recoup those EV production adjustment costs as well as the profits lost when the Dems shut down our economy for a year and a half.

Just wait until you see the interest rates on new and used! A 50-55k vehicle with little down payment is going to run you 900-1200$ per month depending on your credit score

It was stated more than a few times in here late last year that the market for vehicles was about to crash. One guys buddy was in the repo market and said their lots were full of repos and that was proof. LOL

Simply tell them what kind of monthly payment you want, and they'll extend financing to make it work.
Do they make a 360 month finance option?

Hopefully Biden doesn't decide to subsidize the higher credit score people for lower credit score people on car loans next. But to be honest, the FHA loan sham of a bill is just the tip of the iceberg.

I was hoping to pay cash so I don't have to mess with interest rates.

Drove by the local Ford dealer on Sunday. They have (5) 2022 F150's each with a Black Widow package for around $100K if you need one.
They look pretty damn cool but too much green for me.

How old are you willing to go? How many miles can you live with on a used one? What Make/Models are you looking at?

Had that issue in Feb. wanted another Yukon but GMC wouldn’t come off msrp. Wound up buying an armada SL. Msrp was 63 and I paid 58 I believe. Bayou Nissan in Nola had an SL for 53k but my wife didn’t want blue. Supreme Nissan in slidell had a grey SL for 57, and white one for 58. Think as far as full size SUVs Nissan is the best deal. GMC, ford, Toyota aren’t dealing. We are very happy with the armada so far.
