Pawn Shop Guitar Purchase

Hey what do y’all think about this guitar? I’m wanting a guitar that I can play outside in the humidity and not really worry about it getting warn or anything.I think it’s a perfect fit but the stickers are a buzzkill. They went down to $800 but I told them we are still way off. I think if I took the stickers off it would leave an impression or something. It’s a Taylor 210ce.

If I was buying a guitar to play outside in the humidity, I'd want something not only nice playing and sounding but with with a resilient poly finish to act as a buffer to the elements.
This has everything I'd be looking for if I was shopping on your behalf. Yamaha typically outperforms others at comparable price points, and I believe this is in your preferred price range. This, like the Taylor, is a cutaway and onboard electronics. It has the hard protective finish I want on your behalf. No fear of stupid ghosted imprints from a previous owner's stupid stickers ... and you have a money-back return guarantee with my pick if you get it from a big box online store and decide you don't like it.

Was a great episode of that series, some argue the best.

This is my current beater which I think sounds good but I don’t like the jumbo body anymore.I do have a Taylor 214ce DLX but I don’t like taking it outside when the humidity is up which is like 3/4 of the year lol.

Besides a small Memphis Jr electric guitar, my 1st guitar was an early 70s applause ovation

This is my beater. Small Alvarez. That cheap guitar stays outside on the patio most of the time. I change the strings 2-3 times years. For some reason, I guess it's acclimated to being outside is always close to staying in tune.

Seems expensive for that model with the stickers

That’s what I think too. I would be a buyer around $450. Does that sound right? It does come with a hard shell case.

Looks like this model can be had in fairly good shape at around $800 on Reverb which is one of the more expensive used marketplaces.
You may could find one cheaper locally, the value lost because of the stickers would depend on the buyer I suppose.
If I were looking to buy a knock around guitar, I may look at a laminate Yamaha or Eastman though.

There was a time those were really popular, and some pretty good players at affordable prices.
I came across one about 15 years ago that was really nice and sounded and played great, at a really good price. I just couldn't keep it positioned right on my lap though, it kept sliding away from me
