Am I the only person that hates this trade talk?

I want to see this team as constricted all healthy together before I go blow it up. Zion is unlike any player in the league I just don’t see how you trade him for a rookie albeit a good rookie. Let’s take the best player at 14 and just keep building the team in the draft. BI, Zion and CJ together are a top 5 team, we have seen it. I think Zion has no choice but to grow up too and BI is already mature with a ridiculous work ethic. We have Trey Murphy who is a rising star at 17 and Herb Jones in the 2nd round. Also guys like Naji and Alvarado who the team found. I really think this team as constructed can win a championship. Downvote if you like, I just this team can be special but it’s all about Zion. BI is ready to win.

I mean they’re never healthy only reason there is trade talk. I rather they find a solution where they get guys that are healthy rather than us just praying Zion stay healthy when he hasnt for 4 years. They’re is nothing wrong with them looking into that in my opinion.

Do you own a PlayStation? That’s about your only chance.

I imagine there's also some people in the organization reading Moriah tweets about his bedroom full of soda cans and snacks..
The guy just hasn't bought into the idea that he may have to try, and the organization (and probably his teammates) are annoyed to have to constantly deal with it

But what are you going to do? Trading Zion would be at his lowest value. There’s no way you’re getting a better player in return for him but this is all about him becoming a pro and not a kid.

I liked last year’s team, but it proved we could win with some injury issues. We just had more than “some.”
As far as Zion, I’m all in on a Zion that’s committed to his craft. Growing up in the Jordan era, I have been spoiled watching a relentless competitor. When someone has the talent that Zion has, it makes my skin crawl watching him piss it away because a lack of work ethic and maturity. If he’s not committed, I’m not interested on him being on the team. Ship his arse and bring in someone who is willing to work for it

Unfortunately, Hope is not a plan.
And as good as Zion is, winning a championship with him is more predicated around the hope that he figures out to stay healthy, than anything else.
Winning a championship requires being relatively healthy over a 110 game span. This current group struggles to stay healthy over a 10 game span.

I’m ready for the draft to be over. All these pelicans reporters are unbearable on twitter.

Every year this is said, and yet the following year? Even lower value.
Next year? Lowest value yet.

Having a Zion that’s more interested in fricking off than basketball and losing the chance of trading for anything resembling someone who IS interested in basketball … this is the lowest value.

We are playing with entirely house money. AD sitting out tanked our record and we somehow win the rights to take the highest touted prospect since LeBron. Some people here want to cash out now while we’re even. You can’t acquire a player of Zion’s caliber very often, they are unicorns you can count on your hands. I’d much rather go all in on him finally sustaining some health then cash out now. Plus he’s the most exciting player in the league to watch. I miss that unit, maybe I’m naive but I choose to believe his competitive nature won’t allow this shite to continue.

I agree with most of your statement and want to keep Zion. But I can absolutely see the flip side since we see Zion on the court about the same amount of times that we see actual unicorns.

I'm afree with you. I believe the current roster can win it all. I'm not ready to gift some other our best player.

Flip the script- right now if you were build a young team, would you trade a top 3 pick plus some for Zion?
I’d have a hard time grabbing an oft injured questionably committed guy. Even if he’s special at his peak.
I think a lot of the guys that want to keep him are just scared of the “what if it clicks and I look dumb moving on”
Rarely do oft injured, questionably committed guys suddenly find passion for the grind after they already have generational health

I would absolutely trade No. 2 in this draft for Zion.
