Advice For Dogs

I have a 2 year old Aussie. We keep her outside during the day so that she doesn’t have to be kenneled up. Now that it’s super hot, I don’t want to do anything cruel, but she seems to be fine. She’s got plenty of shade and water. I just figure since she’s a working breed, she should be outside to keep her stimulated. What do y’all think

It's hot af outside - even in the shade.
Install a doggy door for her baw.

If she’s used to being outside, has shade and water there’s no problem. Dogs are animals and as long as they’re acclimated they’re meant to be outside.
Could always add a fan/blower if she’ll use it
ETA: obviously some breeds arent meant to be in South Louisiana heat but an Aussie doesn’t fit that mold. I keep my GSDs inside but that’s just me, they’re fine outside

If she likes water get her one of those cheap plastic walmarks kiddie pools to lay in.

You could say the same about people. Most homes in the US didn’t have A/C until the 60s.
Which are you more comfortable in?

During the very hottest part of the day, I'd advise against leaving a dog outside.
And this is from observations of dogs themselves.
Especially the older ones, they would rather just hang out inside on extreme weather days (cold and hot).
