I think it was Lafayette too, there was an episode where he was painting his toenails. That "social worker" knows Sam, because he told her what are you doing here, and made a comment about him being a silly dog...idk

Somebody killed Lafayette....Bill made the reference to "feeding" to being alive. I think it was probably one of the other head vampires that showed up at Bills door.
NO Clue what the social worker is supposed to be. I know its been mentioned that she's a "meanad" spelling??? But still that was weird with the pig & the shaking.
I'm guessing Sam stole that money from her.
Some weird plot angles for next season.

I think Bill or his daughter got to Lafayette. But I'm not sure if they've just been feeding on him or turned him. I don't think he's dead though. When he said he'd fed, wasn't it a few weeks earlier when Sookie's face was still all fricked up?

Spoilers:
Apparently in the beginning of the second book Lafayette is found dead in the back of the detectives' car. However, the series hasn't followed the books to a T, and there's some speculation/hope that they won't kill off Lafayette since the fans seem to really like his character.

The books are all from Sookie's perspective. So almost any of the other character's story arc are new material. If you see a scene without Sookie, that is different from the book.
The body in the detectives car comes from book two. Also the maenad pig woman also is from book two but they have totally changed her character.
In book 2 the maenad is completely wild and lives in the woods, so they have made drastic changes to the book so I am not sure what to expect.
Several characters in the show are not in the book and they made several changes. In book one Eric actually killed the vampire who stole his money and there was no Vampire trial thus Bill did not make that Vampire chick.
Season two is going to be very different from book two since book two takes place in Dallas over just a couple of days. It will be interesting to see how they stretch it over a 12 hour season.

Unless they change from the books, Lafayette is a goner. I think they are going to change how he was killed because they have really made some big changes in certain characters from book 2.

this show has gotten worse and worse. The only reason worth watching is for the ridiculous and absurd scenes they show.
