California Gov. Newsom believes Florida Gov. DeSantis 'regrets running for President'

Newsom went on to criticize the DeSantis team's decision to share an ad promoting his debate with Newsom — not his presidential campaign — on his X (formerly Twitter) account, shortly after the debate was announced Monday.
"This guy is distracted, so I don't know that he has it in his heart," Newsom said. "Here's my personal opinion about Ron DeSantis — he regrets running for President. He made a huge mistake. He listened to his consultants, he bought his own hype, he had this little God complex… He bought into all this stuff, and he quickly regretted it, but he's stuck."
The 90-minute debate between the California and Florida governors will air at 9 p.m. ET on Nov. 30 on FOX News Channel.
FOX 11 reached out to Gov. Ron DeSantis for an interview several times, but DeSantis has, so far, refused.

Newsom is a scumbag clown but I don't think he's wrong. DeSantis was in a great position as a super popular figure leading an amazing state and he's looked like arse ever since he began his presidential aspirations.

Newsom is such a clown. His whole dog and pony show about how he’s going to get a new amendment that over rides the 2nd once he’s president is one of the most comical acts of political theater I’ve seen in a long time. Only the most brain dead and pathetically stupid could be pandered to by actually believing that’s going to happen.

To an actual conservative, this is a ringing endorsement of DeSantis for president. If you're a Lefty or Centrist, maybe not so much.

It's been a dumpster fire the whole way through. He had the exact same strategy as Ted Cruz against Trump. "Don't piss him off and gain his supporters when he drops out."
Needless to say, it's worked out about the same. He doesn't believe his own messaging and it shows in his demeanor. He made some deals with the devils in the GOP to try and muster a challenge and whatever he sacrificed along the way is what makes him a great governor in Florida.
I hope he drops out and comes back strong but right now, this is the Trump train.

Plus, it seems strange that during an election you are going to go on fox and debate a guy that's not even running for president. Whoever is giving ron advice on this is doing a shite job.

I don’t agree with SDV all that often but he and I have been warning this board about Newsom for awhile now. When he runs for the presidency he should be viewed as a very serious threat. Ron will have to bring his A game and find some serious charisma to win this debate.
