Rantigly

The former president of the American Library Association (ALA) said the organization helped “develop” legislation intended to combat attempts to remove sexually explicit books from school libraries, according to documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The Right To Read Act, reintroduced by Democratic Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed and Democratic Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva in April, ensures students can access “culturally diverse and inclusive materials,” including sexually explicit books, as well as granting liability protections for librarians who curate these materials. The bill is explicitly intended to rebuff efforts by parents and Republican lawmakers to remove sexually explicit content from school libraries, according to a press release from the lawmakers.

Parents have an absolute right and responsibility to make sure that their children are not exposed to sexually explicit material. Laws need to empower parents to protect their children.

They are doing it again.

The right to read just means, let kids look at smut.

Our resident Groomers will be along shortly to assure you that an illustration of a dude sucking another dude’s dick isn’t sexually explicit.

Well, why don't they just privatize the libraries and then they can stock their shelves with what they would like...

They've yet to explain to the reasonable adults in the room why they're so obsessed with exposing minor children to sexually explicit content that doesn't involve attempting to normalize sex with kids.

The editorializing of the article is “sexually explicit.” What that means to different people is different. Sex education is a proper subject for schools. Banning sex education used to be a thing for the hyper-moralistic nut jobs. Now banning sex education is a right wing priority.

No sex education typically results in more pregnant teens.

What does graphic illustrations of sexual acts mean to you?

How do graphic illustrations of homosexual acts prevent pregnancy given the fact that homosexual sex cannot result in pregnancy?

Classic lefty maneuver. Tie exposing kids to this crap as a “right” to read.

Yep, America is rapidly descending into a modern version of Sodom & Gomorrah.

Like the depraved citizens of S&G soon they will come knocking on our doors demanding we turn over our young sons and daughters over to them - so that they can be sodomized in every sort of way.

....but first they have to gain control of our Churches and schools.

We're here, we're queer, and we're coming for your children - a popular LGBT chant

Ok, groomer.

I don't recall your railing against editorializing of articles where the MSM took concerted efforts to label pending lawsuits "false conspiracy theories regarding election fraud in 2020."

Must've missed that.

That's weird how your quotation marks end right before he says what you want him to say.

Do you support sexually explicit books with graphic illustrations of sex in our libraries and readily available to children?

What about the books without pictures? I guess we shouldn't worry about those, because in order to know if there was something sexually explicit in them, we'd have to....r.e.a.d...and that would take work?

Parents teach kids about sex, not Librarians.

You think people haven’t already identified those books containing graphic illustrations and depictions of sex acts?
