Has anyone gone from baseball to finger lock grip and noticed improvement in your game? I'm in transition right now and hoping it will be worth the switch.

Looking for feed back from people that have gone through this.

Went from interlock to overlap grip after freshman year of college golf. My hands felt way more connected and working together rather than in tandem. I expect you will feel the same way moving forward.

I advise you to spend 2 weeks at the range hitting as many balls as you can to ingrain the grip change before you take it to the course.

I did the baseball for years and about 2 years ago I made the switch to interlock.. Irons, wedges and fairway woods improved dramatically.. But, for God knows what reason I've been an absolute train wreck with a driver.. Don't know what it is, but I can't hold the club in a baseball grip because if now feels really awkward..

Mess with interlocking and overlapping. the grip is the most foreign thing to change in the swing. If you have a club at home just do a bunch of swings in the yard or in a room that you can do full swings with.

I started with interlock and I'm fully converted to overlap. Interlock seems to make my wrists way too tight even though I've got shorter fingers. I feel like the club is moving in my hands if I don't death grip it with interlock.

If I were you I'd try both of them out to see which you prefer.

I tried interlocking, over lap and baseball grip. And I’ve always gone back to baseball grip. If I would’ve started with the other type grips I might be more successful

I did when I was young because I was getting the hooks with a baseball grip. Weakening the grip will always help promote more of a fade than a draw.

You will typically chip better with an overlap. Nicklaus said his one regret of his golf career was playing interlock.

I have a baseball grip and I've tried interlocking and overlapping. Just can't get comfortable with anything other than baseball.

Been Interlock for 20+ years. If I could start over I'd do the Overlap.

I’ve played overlap for 30 years. Recently I was goofing around in the range and tried a baseball grip..could swing it faster and produced a low draw, while informally hit a high straight shot or slight fade. It felt super weird so I doubt I would trust it on the course although there are times it would be tempting.

I started with wedges when I decide to make the change. PW,50,54&60.. took a couple of range sessions then moved into the short irons and so on and so forth...

Once you change it's hard to go back and it's crazy considering how long I personally use the baseball grip.

Main reason for my change was my right hand tended to shut the club face down quickly and sometimes before the club reached the ball.. So I'd get insane hooks ... So i tried opening the clubface hard in my backswing and that would be disastrously terrible.. Thats why i had to make the change.. The way I used to swing a baseball bat i couldn't get out of my muscle memory.. Grip change is what helped..

Hell I went form 110's to mid to upper 80's a round in 2 years and that's even with still struggling to hit a driver wortha shite

It is definitely worth the switch. One thing worth noting is that I unfortunately developed a bad case of the shanks when I made the switch. Found out I simply was opening the club face too much on my take away. Once I fixed that my contact is much more consistent.
