Federal court revives lawsuit against Nirvana over 1991 'Nevermind' naked baby album cover…

The court apparently states that it is not making a judgment about whether or not the album art is child porn but is simply addressing whether the statue of limitations applies here. So this is not a ruling on the merits of the case.

Putting that issue aside, what is the old adage about pornography: you know it when you see it? Whatever your opinion of Nirvana, their music or the artistic merit of the iconic album cover, the ”Nevermind” album cover is not pornography.

The plaintiff indeed was so traumatized by the alleged “child porn” that he has repeatedly recreated it throughout the years. It thus seems any harm resulting from this image is self-imposed since no would now recognize the grown man as the infant featured in the album if not for that fact.

At least he isn't recreating it while nude.

My thoughts exactly.

I'd be interested in seeing how often this publicly available photo has appeared in pedo child porn stashes?

Probably zero times.

Why?

Because it's not child porn...

Can’t it be considered art? Album covers are more art than porn.

Apparently there is no statute of limitations on this guy being an absurd attention seeking douchebag.

Not the first go indeed. He has tried several different angles at different times.

He has made appearances, signing of pictures at numerous outings etc. Made a bunch of money of this but sue sue sue thats America.

Yeah... That was definitely child porn. Much, much worse than anything Epstein provided for various unnamed clients. Should definitely be placed first in line for child sexual abuse priorities in our justice system.

The court apparently states that it is making a judgment on how best to fund US lawyers.

Artists are always pushing the boundaries. While I don't think this was child porn, why would a parent consent to it is a question that should be asked, and how would you feel if it were you in the picture?

Would you let your child have their nude pic placed on a album cover?
Would you have minded if your parents used you as a child for an album cover?

Asking in general, not you NC_Tigah.

Yeah, the crime rate during the crack epidemic was great. The olden days weren't better just a little different. Most nostalgia is like making America great again. When is this magical time when it was so much better? The 50's?
