When is the last time an LSU head coach fired a coordinator?

LSU has had coordinators leave for other schools, but I don't recall many coordinators being fired for bad performance.
Help refresh my memory.

Was it Dinardo getting rid of Carl Reese? I seem to recall that they weren't getting along - and then he brought in Lou Tepper.

Saban "ran 'em off" regularly.
*Edit* Sorry, I misread. Was thinking about arse't coaches.

Morris Watts left LSU to go to Mich. St.

Saban hired Thompson for DC then fired him before the season started.

No he didn't. Thompson left because his "dream job" at his alma mater Arkansas opened up. And the insecure lies continue.

I think LSU is in uncharted territory with this coaching situation. Frankly, it isn't often that a bowl team replaces a DC that is let go.

It can be spun by the Sabanistas anyway they want to do it,but in 2000 Saban fired Phil Elmassian (which was a good move).
Not sure if George Haffner was fired after 1992 or not.

Actually, the following year he ran out Morris Watts and promoted WR coach, Bob McConnell (who had served as an OC for 1 season at some Div II school up on the east coast), further cementing his demise.
If Les refuses to correct the mistake he made when he promoted this incompetence, he'll probably be on the way to joining his old friend and former staffmate, Gerry D. It is just going to take an equally downward tailspin to get him out of here now that Skip reworked his contract to include this ludicrous buyout and 8-win auto rollover clause.

I'm no fan of Skip as AD but give the proper blame. Lombardi and O'Keefe with the help of Board chairman Jerry Shea worked out that wonderful contract with George Bass. Not sure what Skip would have put together but it couldn't have been that bad.

Iknow that was the reason given. I wonder why he only staid at his dream job for only one year.
I guess NLU is Peveto's dream job if he is accepted.

That's a reflex.
