they've been out of stock for the past 2 weeks or so. just bought 5. might be better than the steel ones from Global Ordanance. reviews seem to be overall positive (3000+ reviews / almost 4000).

I never ran into any problems with those. They run, they're cheaper, and probably more durable.

I would go either with the steel, or find a deal on Pmags. Aluminum just isn't the sweet spot for me.

i bought a few of those but haven't used them, yet. i'm sure they're fine, but some people are concerned about weight. that's really the only con i would think they have.

Not really a lot of difference in the weight, and in perusing some of the other forums, I've read that the aluminum ones deform a lot more. Get banged up and dent easier, while the steel ones don't.

One of my non-AR's is a Cetme, and the options were Cetme (Spanish) steel, HK (German) steel, and HK aluminum. The aluminum were originally conceived as almost disposable, you could get feed lip problems in a hurry. The steel were a tad heavier, but much more longterm reliable.
The Cetme were curved 20 rds, HK were straight.
And the price of the mags, at the time, made you go find a Cetme . I have probably 20 or so mags, for which I paid about $50 at the most.

part description says they have a cage code Q4TQ4, and a quick google search tells me that it's a company named D&H TACTICAL.

The good thing about those Global Ordnance mags is if you run out of ammo, remove mag and throw it at enemy. If you hit them they are going down.

D&H are good but this doesn't scream deal to me...

I like OKAY magazines marginally better but both are good, but if they sell out just buy some OKAY or D&H branded if you need them now.

Being from Missouri, I love ordering from MidwayUSA but Larry has been killing me with their shipping charges, so lately I've been going elsewhere.

Used to be they always ran free shipping on orders over 49.

I bought some assorted mags the other day and ordered from Primary Arms. Their price is 10.70 but I only needed a few. I had 9 and I needed a few more along with some other mags and the cheapest I could get was through Primary Arms when you factored in shipping.

I have already put 2,000 minimum into the rifle. Might as well spend an extra 15 and go magpul.

Okay Industries doesn't exist in the magazine realm anymore. Go try to find some GI style Okay mags for less Tha $15 or $20 now. You can't.

They're made by D&H and have Magpul followers so they're good to go. They used to sell them for $8.
