In Deep Geek posits the Maesters made a fortune off the Lannisters by selling them or making them a Valyrian steel sword. The Maesters in turn hired the Faceless men to kill the firemages who kept the volcanoes in check.

IDG is a solid channel. Great Tolkien vids.

* at the snowflakes. Such fragile, little precious snowflakes are y'all.

**total Rey-Lo level pussies, I see.

Men of the West and Jess of the Shire are pretty good channels as well.

And of course Just Some Guy.

The faceless men did as they were founded by slaves of Valyria. They assassinated so many of the mages that the dragon lords couldn’t maintain the magic on the volcanoes of the fourteen flames. It is known.

Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg. Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor. Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you. It is known.

Virgo the Carpathian may have played a role too…..

Outside of the Ghostbuster references, GRRM did a pretty fricking bang up job of world building. I’m guessing he got totally lost in the weeds of his own mind, and now he can’t find his way out. At this point, his not finishing the series of ASOIAF is a forgone conclusion, I’m wondering if he’ll finish the WOW. I can’t imagine trying to keep all this shite straight.

Now it's time for him to write a full blown novel about The Doom.

Don’t give him more distractions. DoorDash set us back 5 years by itself.

Oh did they change it? Last I heard it was comet/asterioid that struck Valyria and wiped it out.
