Must have missed this when it came out in 2021.

Enjoyed all the Matrix movies although the 3rd was a slight let down. Any thoughts on the 4th as I just noticed it popped up on my Netflix? May check it out this weekend.

The first half or so is interesting and then it started playing it more straight and it got a lot weaker, to me.

I watched it but I can't remember a single thing about it if that tells you anything.

It’s easily the worst of them all and I like to pretend it doesn’t exist.

I’ll re-watch the first two and that’s it.

It's very rare that I'm unable to finish a movie, and I was unable to finish this one. Easily one of the worst movies I've ever attempted to watch

I'm convinced that they tried to make it shitty to spite Warner Bros

It wasn't THAT bad

But it wasn't good either.

The word I’d use to describe it is “unnecessary”

I rarely agree with you - but this is it on all levels

Pretty sure the director was outspoken on how they didn't feel there was any reason to make another movie, and then made not-so-subtle references to WB in the movie that are not even remotely flattering.

The teaser trailer is about the only thing worth a damn about the whole thing.

Watch this and understand that this is the best it ever gets. Best to treat it like a 2-3 minute short film and just pretend there's not a longer version out there :)

This would have been much better as a 15-30 minute segment in Animatrix 2, by keeping it meta and lighthearted-funny.

One of the worst films of the last 20 years. I think they made it just for political propaganda. It's just scatterbrained bullshite.

It wasn’t great, but wasn’t nearly as bad as people here are saying.

For reference, I think it was better than “Dial of Destiny”, and way better than train wrecks like Crystal Skull or Independence Day 2.

A good comparison to me would be “Coming 2 America” in that it was enjoyable when it paid homage to the original and brought back some nostalgic memories, but whatever the erstwhile “plot” of the movie might have been was forgettable.

The wachowski that made this movie did it ironically because WB said they would
make it without them. That laid it out with the WB line in the movie. It’s not good at all, but I give them a little credit for making it instead of letting WB take over .

Good lord, this movie is so meta about being meta inside the meta it’s a mess. I’m halfway into it and it’s just a trainwreck I can’t stop watching. I am going to be disappointed in myself for sinking another 90 minutes into this when it’s over.

Weird me neither and I swear I saw it. I remember it being entertaining and not bad but not especially good. Can’t recall any details though

Yuen Wo Ping wasn’t involved so don’t expect much from the fight scenes
