I’m sad it’s over. Great show. Took me about half of the first season to really get into it, but then I couldn’t stop.

I rewatch it every few years. It's strange watching a show where 98% of the cast is black, but you never really notice. The series tackles subjects SO skillfully, but these days they just beat you over the head with ham fisted messaging until you want to turn it off.

Watched 20 years ago and I still say it is Top 5 show all time. So good.

I need to do a rewatch at some point since i've only seen it once. I usually don't care for rewatches though. Of all the things they do brilliantly, i think actually shooting the series in Baltimore was the best choice they made.

It’s the first thing l saw Idris Elba in so when I heard his natural accent I couldn’t believe it. Mcnulty’s accent was funny that first season
