He's a Tier 1 Off-Season Program Manager and Tier 3 In-Season/Gameday coach.

He'll do enough NOT to get fired, he will keep the program respectable, and competitive....but he's never going to be good enough to put it all together to contend for a championship

Isn't that exactly what we had in Miles, who we fired?

Scott Woodward hired him and is getting a free pass. He should be taking heat too.

Welcome to 3 years ago when he got the job. You can’t say ND fans didn’t tell us this

Wasn’t a fan of Miles but at least he bought us a National Championship.

I've been saying he was mediocre since the day he was hired. His record vs ranked teams is absolutely horrible. Last night bk proved it again. He had the team unprepared and he was once again outcoached in a season opener.

Is he? Appears to me his off season sucks if he can’t win game one.

His resume’ speaks EXACTLY the opposite of what you are saying.

He has been COTY 3 times in the last 15 years (09, 12 and 18) and taken a team far less talented to the championship.

He is a top 5 coach. Y’all keep hearing it but don’t believe it when people say how great of a coach Matt House was X and O wise. He was great at UK and with the chiefs. house didn’t forget how to coach when he came here otherwise people like Tyrann Mathieu wouldn’t have said how great he is.

He’s a misfit at LSU.

Rah, rah church-going attitude with these kids don’t work. The team is soft, and it’s because of him.

Yes, I'll give him that.

His roster management has been pretty good.

Recruiting has been solid (Even though I think LSU Recruits itself).

Offseason team discipline seems to be good.

Kelly 6-20 against Top 10 teams in his career

He’s 34-35 against Top 25 teams in his career

He’s 0-3 in Season Openers at LSU

And last but not least, he’s 0-6 in NY6 bowl games

And the best part is, he’s only been an FBS coach for 21 years, so we know he’s only gonna get better!

ND fan here. And one who has also been an LSU fan since the days of Tommy Casanova and Bert Jones. What you saw last night was quintessential Brian Kelly. I feel for you as it's gonna be a long road. Your AD clearly didn't do his due diligence. He should be cashiered along with Kelly. Good luck...and I mean it.

He just needs to manage the game in big spots instead of letting coaches do their thing for every play. ie the hurry up 3rd and 1 run up the middle, he should’ve stepped in. That play didn’t work all night.
