Ruiz is the weak link on the OL even more than Penning.

He’s been terrible but if McCoy is out for an extended amount of time then we need to move him to C where he’s more comfortable. Carter owned Ruiz all game. I don’t see what Loomis saw when he gave him an extension much like I didn’t get paying Peat all that money. Throw Saldiveri at RG and see how he does until McCoy can play.

Why is Ruiz more comfortable at C? Patrick was a full time center last year. Ruiz filled in in 2022 for a few games, but that’s it.

Ruiz was a center at Michigan and remember Payton drafted him as a center but moved him to OG. That was when this board regularly joked about every year Payton drafted a guy who could play center.
But agree Ruiz has never been worth a shite but got his big contract.

Ruiz is a better at Center than Guard position.
But Ruiz would never be as good at Center as McCoy.

First of all, we don't know this. He filled in at center and didn't look great.
He has been fine this yr minus yesterday. This scheme fits him much better. Ruiz is better than penning.

This. Penning does shite wrong that hs lineman can figure out. It's really really bad.
It's just so frustrating with the amount of draft capital you've invested in your offensive line that you're that bad up front.
