The reviews have been very mixed. I'm just curious if it will feel rushed. The movie isn't even 2 hours long.

That doesn't look too bad.. Seems to have a feel of the old version which had some creeeeeeeepy parts to it. The last scene of the master vampire looked good and scary.

Look at meeeeeeeeee.

I think that is a fan made trailer. Last clip of the vampire is from The Last Voyage of the Demeter.

It shouldn’t feel rushed. It’s been sitting on a shelf for 3 years

I meant the pace of the film. The previous two adaptations were mini-series.

There's a lot to cram into an 114 minute movie.

Ooops. Also wanted to correct the fact it is available now; you don't have to wait until tonight.

I enjoyed it.
It’s brisk, so a lot is out or glossed over.

We tried it last night and turned it off after 40 minutes or so; it was pretty bad.

The original scared the ever living shite out of me as a kid, but I will readily admit it hasn’t aged well.

I watched the trailer last night and it looked pretty creepy. I passed and watched "Pine Barrens" again.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. It had some cool scenes but subpar acting. The kid who played Mark was really bad and actor who played Ben wasn't much better. Even Alfre W, who is solid in everything, looked like she mailed it in. Straker was badly portrayed and an after thought.

If you going to condense a story to just 2 hours, you better make it suspenseful from get go and non stop. It felt rushed, stories glossed over. The ending was bad and full of holes. Nothing scary or creepy. When you keep checking the clock and run time, you know its not good.

Barlow looked cool but under utilized.

I think SL is King’s best book of all his earliest books. The original tv presentation was low budget but creepy as hell anyway. Too bad nobody has decided to do this horror tale real justice.

It likely helped that it was directed by Tobe Hooper, who knew how to make a horror film, and wasn't limited by having to condense the story within 2 hours.

The original 1979 mini-series only had two episodes and a 3 hr 3 min runtime so sounds like more problems than just length. Too bad I was looking forward to this.
