I do not like Kelly but he said the reason for the int’s was Nuss was trying to make something happen because nothing else was working. LSU cannot run the ball. Period. Until Big Game Brian fixes that, we will be an average football team. We were on the 3 yard line and it took 4 running plays to score. We ought to have road-graders up front that can knock someone off the ball. We don’t.

He did throw for over 400 yards, though. Kinda happens when you have NO running game with one yard average per rush.

For once the backup QB isn’t the most favorite player on the team

Its on Kelly, Nuss, and the defense not being prepared

Get out with this bullshite.

Not defending BK, but Nuss made bad throws and terrible decisions the entire second half.

As much as I bitch about Sloan, there were plays to be made but Nuss could not make them.

All 3 ints were REALLY BAD DECISIONS/THROWS.

That’s not on BK. That’s been Nuss’s problem his entire career.

Along with his continued refusal to take easy yards with his legs.

You can blame BK for taking his foot off the gas at the end of the first half. Fine

But the second half was the worst QB play we’ve seen in over a decade.

Nuss is part of that problem too. He'll run once or twice a game and pick up decent yardage... but flat out refuses to run it even when the middle of the field is wide open. Instead he forces bad throws.

Nuss is a grown man getting paid to play football.

He doesn’t need you to protect him.

Nuss should shoulder a lot of the blame but so should the coaches for not having a running game. He is trying to do too much to compensate for the lack of running. That is not an excuse though for throwing interceptions. You got to read defenses better, throw the ball away sometimes, and pull it and run for 5 or 6.

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the defense giving 242 yards rushing, or an offense that can't even get 1.5 yards per rush attempt.

I am not saying Nuss is blameless, but last night was a total team collapse.

Offense, defense, special teams and coaching all share in this one.

Defense gave up 31 points in second half, I think they can share in the blame.

This is my biggest gripe. He could easily cut down on his int problem by taking what the defense gives him and run the damn ball for the yards available.

This would also help out the run game tremendously as it makes it much harder for a defense to game plan on a full field where everyone is a threat.

I’ll say it again. The defense failed to adjust to Reed

BUT…..

If Nuss would not have completely melted down, if he could have made anything but the worst decisions he could have made, if the offense could have sustained drives and kept Reed off the field rather than give him 3 drives starting inside LSUs 40 we would have won even with the defensive failures.

Sure the defense didn’t many well after Reed came in, but Nuss and special teams helped set the D up for failure.

Get Nuss jock out of your mouth and just admit he’s the #1,2 and 3 reasons we lost.

Then blame the special teams before getting to the defense.

He also completed 50% of his passes. That’s pretty bad. I love Nuss but he does not look good.

It’s just too easy to defend a team when you know they’re one dimensional. And this team is as one dimensional as some of Miles’ teams. The difference is those teams could run and couldn’t throw and this one can throw and not run.

But Nuss has to be better. He walks in the building today and owns that. No need to give him a pass on a message board.

I’ll give you the special teams but our Defense being in a position to defend the red zone bc of three interceptions is deflating. I can’t get past it
