They want to bring ice hockey back. But biloxi and pensacola already have teams period I don't see how it would last.

damn that hits me - i grew up in Mobile. saw the Eagles live there, saw many monster truck shows there growing up.

In theory, not a ton of people in Mobile are traveling an 70-80 minutes for a minor league hockey game so I don’t see Pensacola/Biloxi as having teams being an issue with mobile getting their own team
With that said, original team was ECHL. The proposed team is way down on the totem pole. Below Pensacola but on par with Biloxi. No way it can fill up the place (think I read 10k seats).
No one cares about anything other than the tide here. Unless a ton of Yankees moved down and are hockey fans, I don’t see it. The venue has other uses obviously
