I know preseason rankings all together, (especially this far in advance) mean jack sh**. That being said, most preseason rankings for next year have Bama somewhere in the mix of the top ten. Do you believe they will maintain that ranking or fall off of the charts? Personally, I think with the departure of 13th year senior John Parker Wilson and Glen Coffee, they will end up somewhere around 25 to end the season.

2007 Bama was somewhat similiar to this year's LSU..only difference was LSU didn't lose to Troy.

He meant Bama's team next year ending up like LSU did just this season.

I also hope LSU doesn't end on a sour note like that, either. Bowls seem to be a mortal lock as long as Les is around.

Why? Did they name co-defensive coordinators?

Most likely no.

As long as you have a stone-wall defense like Bama does you can shite around on offense and still win plenty of games.

Even if Bama has QB problems next season, they'll still be pretty good.

Saban has always been an 'every other year' sort of guy. Bama will probably be a 7 or 8 win team.

I was thinking the same when looking at all these rankings for next season. I think they will be very similar to LSU this season but with a better D. I'm continually shocked at how the people who put these polls together over look lack of a prove QB. Looking back, it is no surprise LSU struggled with QB play and should be no surprise to anyone when Bama has QB issues next season b/c of lack of experience.

Bama's D next year will be way better than LSU's this past year.

Their O may struggle at times in league play, but they won't be giving up 50.

Plus their offense is QB friendly, i don't think McElroy will struggle nearly as badly as some here think he will.

Yeah, they may stall some offensively but defensively, they should be fairly strong.

When you start off with a high ranking, it's alot easier to falll below expectations then it is to exceed them

That being said the same thing could be said for UF as well. They will start likely #1, but can they repeat? The gruling SEC schedule might say otherwise...

I don't think they will be as good but they have a pretty easy schedule so i wouldn't expect disaster or anything.

UGA will be more interesting in my view. And I'm interested to see if UF misses Harvin.

Sam Bradford of Okla. was a true freshman starting QB in 2007 and was great with no experience, the A train, just like Jordan Jefferson will be this year for LSU.
