It’s a problem when mins after you trade for someone or extend them

They restructuring the contract or having a half decade of dummy years added to the contract to manage the cap mess we in.
And these are players not even making much money. Wish Gayle would put Loomis out of his misery. Zero hope for the future until he’s gone.

It's crazy that I avoided these boards for so much of the Allen years and come back to Chad as the voice of reason. So many have let me down. Allen really fricked up so many people's heads.

You realize when we do these restructures the base salary above min gets converted to a signing bonus and they get their year's salary up front, right?

Pretty sure he’s saying it’s sad that they have to immediately restructure even the smaller contracts bc we’re in such terrible shape compared to every other team every year.

No shite. I’m just saying a guy like Godchaux who is making 4 million a year shouldn’t have to have his salary pushed (cap charge) years down the line. That’s not much in the way of nfl money. A team should be able to absorb that salary for the books no problem.
But not us, have to push it years down the line minutes after we trade for him.
This shite will never end until someone from the outside comes in and cleans it up. B/c it won’t be Loomis.

In a bizarre way, I guess the Saints strategy makes us attractive to FA. It’s not only the contract you sign, the player knows he’ll get his contract can kicked several times guaranteed more money and accelerated regardless of how you perform.

it ain't nearly the problem you think it is. We are slowly getting back to a better position than where we were 2-3 years ago. but, people are losing sleep over things that aren't that important.

please stop posting fake info. i was told there's no way adebo would fetch any more than a 1 yr 10 million dollar deal.
