Weatherby 307 rifle anyone have one?

Thinking of pulling the trigger on a 307 in 7mm PRC. I can get a brand new one for $899 which seems pretty good it’s the meat eater edition which isn’t the all carbon version.
Do any of the OB folks have one? I know the 7PRC cartridge is a good one I’m looking for rifle feedback.

I have a .300WBY, & even though 30+ yrs ago it was one of the flattest shooting, hardest hitting 30cals on the market, it takes some gumption to site it & shoot it @ an animal. The concussion is crazy, the shoulder push is pretty violent, but seeing an animal drop from 350+yds with one shot in the manner I’ve witnessed is hard to argue with…

Not sure what a 307 is but it’s probably me. We love our weatherby 7mm-08. Whitetail and hogs drop with the right bullet.

Thanks that is a good find. Seems like a decent rifle and the price point is awesome since MeatEater is going with a different tie up.

Great rifle. Good choice on caliber. Best thing is it’s totally buildable. Your going to love it.

The 307 is Wby's version of a Rem 700 clone (right?) The draw there is to get a rifle in Wby calibers in an action with 700 market support. They offer 307 actions for sale as well.

Yep, it’s a rem700 with Weatherby’s name on it. Supposedly made in their Wyoming facility with good QC. Comes with a triggertech and cerakoted so under $1K is a good deal, not gonna build anything cheaper than that.
