Left knee pain is inside but comes and goes. Worse pain is when I get up sitting down. Any thoughts?

You’re 20lbs overweight and haven’t seen the inside of a gym in 2 decades, yes it is

Try a compression sleeve for your knee and wear for a month or two.

Obviously you have to amputate at the hip.

What’s your height/weight and exercise routine like?

That’s the-#1 indicator of your problems.

Probably sciatic especially if it comes and goes. Stretching and exercise help a ton!

You're getting old? Mine hurt randomly, but it always goes away. I'm 44 and about the same size as you.

Might be a medial meniscus problem.

A small tear can “catch” occasionally when bending the knee, especially when it’s bearing weight when squatting up or down.

Do you drink coffee?

Probably dehydration or tight hamstrings or both.
