I kinda lost interest in playing it after Joel died like immediately. I'll still finish it at some point though

I never finished the game because I quit here. Not because I hated Abby. I just didn’t want to upgrade my weapons all over again.

I finished it but had the same exact feeling. One of the biggest bummers in a game I can recall. Also the game drags like a motherfricker after that point.
I’m sure I’ll be told that I’m just a dumbass that didn’t get the game and storyline though

Posts like these will never get old. I waited a year to buy the game after the spoilers that leaked before it was released but I can't imagine waiting YEARS like these people. One of my best friends still refuses to play it.

I found it incredibly interesting to get to know her, learn her backstory, and understood what drove her to justifiably kill Joel.
Had she looked like a normal woman and not a linebacker, 90% of the complaints about the game would disappear.
And I agree that her muscles were stupid and just a fantasy of the game creator, but I was captured by her story and liked how there really no good people or bad people. It all just depends.

99% of the complaints I see are about the story and the characters, specifically the shitty treatment of Joel. Having zero likable characters is a significant drawback.
1% are generic "woke" claims.
By the end of the game I found myself pulling for the fungus to finish them all off.
I had a discussion with my friend about which game had less likable characters, TLOU2 or Veilguard. We both concluded that the necromancer guy puts Veilguard across.

I think the ending will likely stay the same but Ellie and Dina will probably reconcile to not make the ending such a downer for the general public.
I loved the dark lesson the game taught the player. Ellie gave into her rage and it cost her everything. Dina, Dina’s baby, and the ability to play the song Joel taught her. Pretty heavy.

Ending will very likely be the same including Dina leaving Ellie. Just like how revenge cost Abby everything it'll cost Ellie everything. I do wonder if the structure will remain the same given how different things are now. Maybe episodes containing Ellie's three days in Seattle will also feature Abby's three days. I still think the season finale will be the theater scene right after Abby kills Jessie

Last episode has a 9.5 on IMDb and a majority of the RT reviews are clearly review bombs. Also the game has a verified score of 89% on steam from people who actually played the game.
