Recruiting season is in full swing, with prospects taking official visits last month and many of them announcing commitment decisions throughout July and August. It also means updated player rankings across the recruiting industry, and Rivals is releasing its initial Rivals300 after a slew of camps, 7-on-7 events, and other competitions over the past few months.
This version includes a handful of new five-star prospects, as well big movers across the board.
With this, there are now 12 five-stars in the class, which will ultimately end with 32 in January to match the number of first-round picks in the NFL Draft.

So, was there a merger or acquisition between On3 and Rivals?

On3 purchased Rivals and uses their name

Doesn't rivals usually have 32 5*s at cycle end? Also isn't this late to do their "initial" top 300? Kids sign in 5 months

Yeah little late but they will evaluate kids more during senior year more than just hand out stars so I am ok with that.
One thing about the merger is there should be enough scouting coverage for people to not complain as much

I thought they removed ESPN from the industry ranking

What's hard to believe is that as much talent as we think this team has - UT, OSU and Bama have better talent according to the blue chip ratio. A&M about the same. The good news is - we have more than Clemson.
From what I see, this team has as much as the 2019 and the 2011 team.
Nuss may not be Burrow, but the rest of the team looks solid When was the last time we had 3 five stars on the DL or a 350 pound DT in the rotation. I think BK likes this group also, and the current class he's working on.. The media is sleeping on it.
I'm thinking our blue chip ratio will be closer to the top after the next signing day. I think we are sitting at 5 or 6 right now, I'm looking for a top 4 next year.

He certainly seemed confident at Media Days. Could be a poker face or could just be wrong but I liked the body language.
