Anyone going to buy the Buckingham Nicks reissue?

It comes out on Sept. 19 on CD for the first time “officially.” I’ve had an unofficial version from the master tapes for years but I have already preordered the CD. The special edition numbered vinyl versions sold out in a matter of hours today after the link went live on Rhino’s website.
For those who don’t know, the only place Lindsey and Stevie were big as Buckingham Nicks and the only place they played live as a duo under that name was Alabama because a Birmingham DJ played the album and people loved it. They played shows in Birmingham, Jacksonville and Tuscaloosa and joined Fleetwood Mac right after that.
For those who have never heard it, this is their track that was the biggest hit in Alabama.

I have that album. Its recorded like shart.
...and the cover looks like a picture from a 1970s swinger magazine.
"Bi curious couple looking to explore an open relationship with no strings attached. Willing to enter a form of consensual non-monogamy and willing to cos play."

I have an old NM vinyl copy... sounds good, especially the acoustic guitar. I'm not sure I'm into it enough to get the RHF, though I am a huge fan of that series and have a lot of the titles. We'll see... usually if one of the other new titles grabs my attention I'll add more to it if I'm having it shipped, anyway.
I did just get in the unnumbered repress of The Cars first record.. AND THAT'S AWESOME!!!

Hmmm... it was always thought of as a good recording, from what I remember...
Recorded at Sound City on one of its custom Neve consoles, produced by Keith Olsen...
When Mick Fleetwood went to Sound City to scope out the studio they played him "Frozen Love" from this record, which made him call the studio a week later when Bob Welch quit FM to ask for the number of the guitarist on that record they'd played him.
the RHF version might be a big improvement in sonics? Television's "Marquee Moon" record sounds MUCH more "hi fi" in its RHF version (as do The Stooges debut, Ramones' "Road To Ruin" and Black Sabbath's "Paranoid") which actually seems to make some fans angry...

It's very bright, and the vocals at times are kind of "tunnel" sounding.
...just my opinion.
It's a pretty bad album.

3 songs are now available on Spotify, with the rest coming out on Friday. I love all 3 songs and I don't see how someone that's a fan of either of these two artists could not like this. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham toured around last year and part of this year as "Cunningham Bird" and performed several songs from the album, but they did alternate arrangements I believe. It was awesome.

Something sounds off with the vocals. As if they were behind cloth or in another room.

So like Phil Spector’s wall of sound? Maybe that’s why I like these songs so much.
