I've been using high lift but just bought a set of Gator Blades. Installed today but too wet to try. I'm hoping the Gators will mulch up Fall leaves better.
What are you running and why?

Low lift blade on one walk behind and the OEM Quadra-cut blades on my Honda walk behind. Low lift blade on the cheap walk behind because it doesn't have enough power to spare for high lift mulching blades.

I bought whatever was on sale at Amazon. Turns out it was a high lift blade. I guess those are popular for bagging purposes, but the original blade was designed for mulching.
It does a fine job from what I can tell. I don't bag the grass, but I haven't noticed a problem with clippings. I try to mow the lawn once a week, so it doesn't get to be a pain.

High lift in summer, gator in early spring and fall for mulching leaves.

I’m running a seven blade cylinder.
Why? I like healthy grass.

I run whatever comes with the mower and make sure to keep it sharpened a couple times a season, which is pretty much year round in the N.O. area.
I cut no less than 4-5 times a month during the summer to stay on top of it, especially with all the frequent rainfall we've been getting this summer.
In the fall it goes down to 2 times a month and when it gets what passes for winter here, once a month just to keep it looking neat.
As you can probably tell, I'm not fussed about the grass. I don't spray, I don't fertilize----------I don't care----just keep what's there neat is good enough.

8TEN LAWN RAZOR blade because it looked cool when ordering. No noticeable difference from OE, go figure.

High lift on Ybravo 25, which I use for bagging. This mower is the best vacuuming mower I have ever seen.
Micro-Cut twin blades on 21” Honda I use for mulching.
Have run Gator blades in past on a semi-retired, 35 year old Snapper 21” High-Vac, and they work great for mulching both leaves and grass, even my back yard, which is thick zoysia.
Gotta have a good torquey engine to mulch well, in my experience. Can definitely recommend the Gator Blades though.
