The movies are fine, but I hate that they peddle this "based on a true story" nonsense. Ed and Lorraine Warren are (were? don't know if they're still alive) total bullshite artists.

Yep, Lorraine had it in her contract that Ed could not be portrayed engaging in extra marital affairs, because he did. Especially a 40 year affair with Judith Penny which started when she was 15.
