Anybody ever wanted this thing? $750/month, nothing down, 7500miles.yr limit. That's tempting. I probably wouldn't in the end, but still tempting.

Honestly the biggest hangup is that I can't buy it out and depend on it forever like I could a FOur runner or LC.

Is that a typical lease mileage limit? That seems low.

That’s super low if you ever wanted to use it as a daily driver.

I drive more miles than that on my second vehicle. 11 years old and 170k. Been a second vehicle since I bought it.

They look really nice. Costco was offering an $8K discount but it was still over $90K. Has a 6 cyl BMW engine that only gets 15 mpg. Wonder what resale is like for such a unique vehicle.

Not good. Used ones are 60kish here. That’s a 30k loss off the lot.
Awesome looking vehicle . But in the end it’s a german motor built in France and designed by a Brit.

I’d still buy one if I won the powerball

Tell me you like having your wallet raped without using the words "wallet" nor "rape".

For the most part they have been pretty reliable. There are certainly some that have had issues. Believe someone on this site lasted less than a year due to issues, not sure what they were.

The engine and drive train seem solid, the electronics/infotainment seem to be the source of issues being one offs.

The problem for the Grenadier is everybody that really wanted one and had the disposable income to add them as a 3rd or 4th car has already bought them. They are rotting on the lots.

I may pick one up when they get to the low 30s for low-mileage cherry examples.

Not sure if pristine examples get that low. 30K aint what it used to be.

Feels like weekend overlanders will snap them up pretty quick at 40-50k.

$750 a month and you can only drive a max of 20miles per day?

If that's your biggest hangout after what I stated above then by all means make the purchase. Maybe even go for one that cost $1,000 a month and gives you 25miles per day.

Not much pickup, can’t really see out of it, steering doesn’t return to center, and a lot of other quirks like that. Dash is also in the center column so left and right hand drive manufacturing is easier. Not sure who you would take it to for servicing. I guess BMW for power train but Ineos would have to do the rear and they have limited locations.

You can bring it anywhere for servicing. There is nothing too unique. For the infotainment upgrades it has to go back to the dealer, but general maintenance is just a normal mechanic.

Im not sure why this thought still persist or was such a big deal.

Yes you can lease out Geraint Thomas as a riding buddy, but he will only ride with you for 7500 miles/year
