Given the recruiting class, players returning, those leaving early or on time, and new DC, what is your updated prediction for LSU's record for the 2009 season?

I say Florida may get us but that's all. Georgia and Bama have to reload at key spots (qb and rb) so I'm not as worried playing them at their house. I don't see us making the same bonehead mistakes against Ole Piss and Arky that we did last year. I'm hoping for no worse than 11-1 with a possible chance at another BCSNCG!

Sep. 5 @ Washington - W
Sep. 12 Vanderbilt - W
Sep. 19 UL-Lafayette - W
Sep. 26 @ Mississippi State - W
Oct. 3 @ Georgia - W
Oct. 10 Florida - W
Oct. 24 Auburn - W
Oct. 31 Tulane - W
Nov. 7 @ Alabama - W
Nov. 14 Louisiana Tech - W
Nov. 21 @ Ole Miss - L
Nov. 28 Arkansas - W

One loss with possibility of another loss against Florida at home. Georgia will be weak and i'm not that worried about Alabama on the road with no QB and a lot of young guys.

Our QB at least had some playing time the last few games and looks to be a great option with loaded talent on both sides of the ball.

thoughts???

At worse. The only thing that can hold us back next year is Dline and I think we ares et at that. So I am Predicting we win the SEC Championship.

If we lose 2 years in a row to Old Piss, I'm jumping off of a building. No f'ing way! This year, they will be renamed "Old", when we beat the Piss put of them.

That's what we like to hear

That game is 9 games into the season. I wouldn't write it down as a W just yet. Not every QB that starts his first season is still garbage 9 games into it.

We still have a sophmore QB. We will be better though, and that is the main thing. I'm thinking 9-3 with a visit to Florida or Dallas in January.

Pre-class signing, I predicted 8-4 or 9-3. Now I'll go with 9-3 or 10-2 if every last thing falls into place. 9-3, 5-3 in conference sounds about right, assuming Jefferson progresses and stays healthy.

I'm going to go with possible 2 loss season, but my 'gut' tells me this could be a great season with a letdown at the end, as in possibly going undefeated, then losing to UF in the SECCG. Gah, I hope that doesn't happen.

At worse.

Hope springs eternal.

To be honest, I think the return of Lafell and Charles Scott have WAY more importance than the incoming freshmen. It's not like there weren't sub-par athletes on the field last year.
