Binging this over the last couple of weeks with my boys. It’s our third time and it just gets better each time. I don’t think the series can be any more perfect. Concluding Book 2 right now.
Just watched this episode:
“Leaves from the Vine” is a song sung by Uncle Iroh during the episode "Tales of Ba Sing Se," a powerful tribute to his deceased son, Lu Ten, and also a final performance by Iroh's original voice actor, the late Mako Iwamatsu, who passed away from throat cancer before the episode aired in 2006, making the scene deeply emotional for both the character and the real actor.

Shockingly good for children’s television. It’s a legitimately compelling story for all ages. So glad I grew up with it and get to enjoy it as a child and adult!

It is one of the better stories in any genre of television and IMO has a few of the most well written character arcs ever done.
