Received 3 poncho shirts for Christmas and wanted to post a review.
To start, I have almost every brand made; Columbia, Huk, UA, Orvis, Magellan, simms.
Finished shirt is on par or better than Orvis which before now was #1.
Fit is tied with Simms/Orvis, runs true to size, 3 pocket front, pearl snap.
Price, upper range +$100 (Orvis/Simms) but longevity wins imo.
9/10 but unfortunately wife says they are my church shirts and can’t be used fishing.

I have 4 at this point. I believe some of their earlier shirts had some QC issues. One of mine is considerably shorter and tighter than the rest, and they put the last pearl snap almost all the way at the bottom of the shirt, which looks pretty odd. I should have just returned that shirt since it was obviously screwed up.

Another one I have, the collar is messed up and I can’t figure out why. It doesn’t spread open at the top like a button down shirt collar should. It just goes straight up on each side so it appears that I have the very top button snapped and I look like a Mexican gangbanger.

The other two are perfect.

Appreciate the review. They look solid, but maybe a little over my price range. I don't see a sale or clearance section on their website. Do they ever run sales?

They look nice but I ain't paying $90 for a shirt. I stain all my shirts so I try to go cheap.

I agree but seeing as I have worn it for a year or more at this point it just doesn’t seem right to gripe to them about it.

I will say, if you just like that style of shirt, western cut pearl snaps, academy has some that are dang close. I don’t remember the brand and I don’t know the price but I’d imagine they’re a lot less.

I much prefer snap shirts to buttons because the snaps don’t come undone in 6 months time like buttons.

I wear one just about every day

Orvis is close in quality and fit, but I always grab a Poncho these days.

They didn't pass my long term durability test.

I had a couple poncho shirts get thrown in the trash in less than 1 year. Mostly start to going to shite in the arm pit area. Meanwhile I have orvis shirts from Costco going on 6 years with the same wear.

Just my experience. Not worth it to me.

I like them, but I find the collar on the one that I have is too stiff. Sticks up into my neck/chin, if that makes sense. And I don't have a no-neck. This was a last year Christmas gift.

I had one that a pearl snap came off of at about 15 months. Sent an email about getting another snap for it and they had me send it back for another shirt. With that customer service I'll keep buying.

I have 5 and have had a little bit of the same issue. The fit can be a little inconsistent. That being said, I like them, especially the denim shirts. Biggest issues is it's never cold enough to wear long sleeve shirts.

Since talking about expensive clothes:

Ag Gear Hay Bailer shirts are hot as shite in the Louisiana summers. I like to wear long sleeve in the summer to not have to wear sunscreen. Ag Gear claims these things breathe and they are great at holding sweat. I want to write a complaint to them. I take the shirt off and I swear it holds a pound of water. They are nice in 70 degree weather...

Their pants got worn out within the year. They haven't ripped but are worn and don't hold shape anymore.

I've looked at Poncho, how's the sweat in the summer?
