Recommendation: Recteq vs Traeger

Looking to spend about $1000. My neighbor gave me his old one, and it seems like the microwave of grilling/smoking. Easy to use for a week night. Well….its now falling apart. Looking to get a new one. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I own a RecTec, it is about 6 years old. I use it monthly, (was weekly for awhile) and I've never had a real issue. The only issue is the app has never worked for me but I use Inkbird wireless probes and it's been fine since. When I had my WiFi issue, I made a comment on FB and the owner reached out to me, they sent me a replacement but the YouTube video they linked with it so I could replace it myself just seemed complicated, so I bought other probes instead.

I had both. No comparison. Rec Tec by a landslide

Not sure why this forum is so set on RecTeq. Not saying they are not good but Traeger's high end models are really good.

Look at Yoder. Buy a Yoder.

I have a Traeger at home, recteq at the guide house. They’re about what and what, I would say go with the one that has the most features or the best bang for your buck.

I’m gonna try the new Weber in a month, or 2…

Not at a $1000 budget.
