Can do better if horse lady doesn’t want to be cheap

I don’t trust Dumars and crew to be able to hire good up and coming coaches

No shite, the rest of the NBA world knew it... which is why no one else was hiring him even though his agency was floating his name everywhere.

But this board has been beaten into submission by mediocrity (and worse) for so long that many on here always think something slightly different from the past is always going to be better.

It's why you still have idiots on here thinking we can compete with Zion and Trey on the roster.

facts. We go on a 5 game win streak and people want to give him the full job. Some wanted to keep this core and see what happens lol.

Same thing a few years ago when we had a good month in December and were the one seed for a few hours. People couldn’t shut up about that for months like it wasn’t an anomaly.

We’ve been so bad that mediocrity is great in the eyes of a lot of these fans

Zero say in the roster, no training camp, very few players that actually fit what he likes to do.

Not sure what kind of miracles yall were expecting to be worked, but when they have 1 legitimate shooter and shite else for shooting, and 2 guys having to try to carry the whole team, while the fanbase anointed 2 rookies way to early, yeah Pop wouldn’t be successful with this shitshow mishmash roster.

Hope y’all are happy with Ham or Ollie next year, because that’s who you’re getting

You are acting like he has never been a head coach before.

maybe he is it, and he's keeping the good stuff hidden until he gets a contract! can't be giving his best work for free

Well that is true. He is giving us what Gayle is paying him.

People are going to unreasonable because it's the Zion era. But I'm already seeing this as the start of the DQ/Fears era and it's going to take time to figure out the roster and offense/defense for these guys. It took Malone and Jokic 4 years to finally reach the playoffs.

As far as Borrego goes, I'm not focused on winning because our vets have proven they can't get it done. I'm more interested in Borrego's development of the rookies and want to see how much better they'll get the rest of the year. That weighs much more to me than just winning a couple of games.

If the team isn't doing what he and the other coaches are telling them to do, then they don't respect him. So either get players that listen or a hard nosed coach that won't take crap and let him weed out the weeds on the team.

1) I guarantee you neither one of them will be our head coach next season. Just like with Borrego's name popping up the day after every job that opened the last couple of years, this is the same thing i.e. agents floating names of not serious candidates.

2) This further proves my point just how much the Pelicans have a large portion of the fanbase in a Stockholm Syndrome sleeper hold. You're getting duped hard core into thinking Borrego has some secret weapon up his sleeve because he's the least shitty offering on a shite platter.

The fact that you are in the acceptance stage and refuse to aim higher when it comes to a head coach just shows how lost and apathetic our fanbase is.

Injuries have been and always will be the Pelicans biggest issue, as the franchise is currently. JB has been a breath of fresh air compared to Willie. Missing only Dejounte, Pels had the highest scoring average in the league for a minute in December.

Herb goes down. Trey and DQ goes down. JB is having to pray Poole can make shots. I’m not ready to say he isn’t the answer. We just have to get fricken healthy and stay healthy and I’m long past having hope for that. Nothing matters if we can’t stay healthy.

1) Roster construction has been the biggest issue.

2) Borrego has had a healthy Zion for 10+ consecutive games... we're on a 7-game losing streak. Willie had injuries too big dawg.

When will you fools realize that Willie and Borrego are in the same class when it comes to head coaches?

After our winning streak, this board wanted to lock him up before another team stole him from us.

You see how quiet it is right now?

Nobody cares cause we aren't relevant. This is tanking. No body watches and nobody talks. For some reason, this is what everybody believes is necessary. They want to go through years of this. I don't understand it..

The team is owned by the individual that bankrupted Dixie beer by making unexplainable decisions.
