I’m considering this in my largest food plot for the spring. Sounds good on paper just have no experience with it.

How did it do?
What was your weed control plan?
Where did you get seed from?

With the cost I would just do cow peas (iron & clay) and maybe plant something with it to crawl up and give cover from the deer until the can branch out.

it was in a mix that we planted two summers ago....grew really well...it's basically a viny weed....but the deer didnt eat it lol

I'm considering just doing a cover crop this summer because we've done a lot of logging and burning and the deer should have plenty of groceries in the logged areas

Plant buckwheat, cheaper and easier and deer eat it along with game birds.
