The Venezuelan adventure was also a clear message to China

The message being this….you invade Taiwan, you’re gonna get curb stomped. And now they know it.

It was a re-establishment of US power within the western hemisphere. Plain and simple. The calculus has dramatically shifted. And they know it.

Again, Uniglobal superpower.
It’s never truly happened until the United States but this is where we are.
We prop up other militaries and say they “good” adversaries but what does good mean? We rarely if ever give any insight to where we are.
You can clearly see we are ahead of everyone. Taking a dictator out without any casualties is really unheard of in warfare. The Roman’s fell for may reasons but one main reason was their inability to police the far east of their empire.
Tech has erased that problem.

Kinda makes you wonder what we were doing for 20-plus years in the Middle East?

Our corporations are financing their military.
I'm sure they're terrified.

If things get hairy we will just tell Japan to get busy.
They love fighting the Chinese.

Feeding the MIC.

Nobody now entertains a doubt but that we are able to cope with the whole force of Great Britain, if we are but willing to exert ourselves.
One of my favorite quotes from Thomas Jefferson. It’s as true today as it was back then.
America can defeat and erase any foe anywhere on the planet if we are but willing to exert ourselves.
We get bogged down not because of our capabilities, but because of politicians and the America people’s’ stomach for it. The faster you move on targets and defeat your enemy, the less time the public has to become upset by it.
Move fast and win decisively.

What was really highlighted was strategic planning in the operational environment, when effective leaders act outcomes have better results. For to long America suffers in battles because of protracted conflict and media attention. Consider the time of ww11 when we had to gear up from scratch and move equipment into regions to fight overseas, we spent 5 years on multiple battlefields throughout the world with competent military leadership. Today’s leaders go into regional wars and last decades spending trillions of dollars on existing arsenals, one might suspect MIC as Eisenhower once warned about, that controls the wars as longer the better. While the placement of forces as well as the execution in Maduro capture was short, sweet and expensive it was very telling in what could be achieved when done correctly. I believe the success possibly caught leaders a little off guard themselves because of the fact Trump himself mentioned how they were ready for additional waves if the first one was bogged down. While having a force ready for backing up is not unusual it sounded a bit surprising and off the cuff when said by Trump

So what? They’re financing stuff that doesn’t work worth a shite.

This is 100% correct. You think Trump would have allowed Vietnam to last that long? That would have been over in a week. And he would have told China and Russia to suck a dick.

That sends an entirely different message to China, then.

How are we doing in ending the Ukraine conflict?

Also? That was the entire point.

The difference between a president wanting to accomplish a mission as quickly and safely as possible and ones who were controlled by the MIC and drug the war out to line pockets

That is a war between Ukraine and Russia. Vietnam was us and Vietnam.
I wasn’t addressing conflicts world wide between other countries. I was addressing wars the United States is engaged in.

But it's a better comparison to the reality on the ground.
And Venezuela is just starting. There was an initial surge of support in Iraq, and the southern Vietnamese supported us there.
