The problem isn’t the staff; the problem is your impatient expectations.

Don’t be an idiot.
These are massive contracts, a lot of moving parts. Good Player Evaluations are not a refresh on the On3 or 247 ranking, and the highlight real? That seems to be what the last staff did.
On the offensive side; some of these guys are literally working two jobs at the same time. They probably want to green light a few of the more important positions.
The players have to schedule visits and typically you would prefer the final visit if you can’t get the only visit.
It’s like kids on Christmas Eve that have no concept of time around here.
I know it’s the nature of this fan base, and I know some of you are excited, but you are tripping over the low bar.
Oh and your lamenting is also medicating the giant cope job that is ole Miss right now… so please keep it together! Please?

Yes - a lot of bawl left to play.

One more…
We are also likely getting players from
Teams that are currently playing. Both Miami and ole Miss… we have an extended window and ties to both programs.

I’m all for patience and perspective but this
is a piss poor excuse. If their work in Oxford is hindering our progress in Baton Rouge then they need to pull the plug. And if they can’t make that decision than either Lane or Verge need to be the bad guy and make it for them

Very well said.
This right here is important and I'm glad you pointed it out. Look at some of the big named, top of their position transfers we got last year that didn't do shite, especially on offense. Not only that, the highschool recruits we got as well that didn't do shite. It's clear the last staff didn't do proper evaluations for players that would fit their system and certainly didn't develop hardly anyone once they got to campus.
I actually really like the approach this staff has had. They're showing they've done their work. They're not just going to go off the ranking these recruiting sites are spitting out. So while we may not get as many of the "bigger names" at certain positions, you can bet your arse they were properly evaluated by this staff and will fit what the staff wants to do. It also appears that they won't be overpaying for players, unless it's a must.
It's refreshing to see a staff actually put in work.

This is so true.
Instant/constant gratification is the mindset of most on this board. A little patience and fortitude would go a long way.
We have a good coaching crew, let them do their job. And for God's sake, quit worrying about the Bearsharks.

I for one am thrilled we didn’t drop 5 million of a 30-40 million dollar budget on 1 guy.
Give an accurate evaluation, and make someone overpay.

True. Brian Kelly did more damage than Hallman and Archer combined.

I think everyone will feel a lot better once they lockdown the QB position. Everything else will take care of themselves.
