Let's face it, NIL contracts are like coaching contracts

Both seem unenforceable these days. The only recourse it seems is to start including large buyout clauses in them all. That might slow down some movement but not all of it.
It's just a matter of time before LSU has a player with a signed NIL contract, wanting to change his mind and then go elsewhere.
Congress is going to have to get involved to institute changes across every state. This can't be done by the states themselves.

Honestly if it takes LSU and Lane to be the villain in all of this to finally get some real change to the structure and rules to fix this nonsense, then so be it. Sign me up for it and I think the majority of fans will sign up for it

I do think most people are over college football right now. Ive list a lot of interest for sure. There has to be some regulations put on this stuff, or its just gonna get worse.

I lost interest the last couple of years bc I couldn’t keep up with who was on the roster. I thought if I keep up with what happens in the portal that I could maybe get my interest back up. To be honest, I think it lowered my interest. This is an absolute shitshow and definitely needs to be addressed for the health of the game and fan

Well, LSU football is relevant again. The talking heads can’t do a show without talking about Lane and LSU. And just wait until tomorrow! Harbaugh has nothing over Kiffin!!!

I hear that but if you have a decent memory like most people should it took me a couple games to figure out who was on the team not all that hard. Maybe peep the depth chart or something to help

People are over the off-season of college football. As for in season and quality of games, it’s the best and most popular the sport has ever been. The Rose Bowl drew 23.3 million people

I’ll say this about this particular situation
The only difference between Demond’s situation and other players who have signed contracts for multiple years and still enter the portal between those years is the fact Demond did it during the same portal window he signed.
Most every player that is in the portal had signed for multiple years and aren’t fulfilling their deals
