What was the reason for no second season? Where the writers getting close to the actual truth? I really enjoyed season 1 and I am staring a rewatch now.

It was based on a Stephen King book. There was always only going to be 1 season.

My favorite King book.
I've been waiting for it to pop back up on streaming so I'm going to give it a re-watch soon. I watched the show before reading the book and I remember enjoying it, but I know there were a lot of changes made in the adaptation that I didn't like after reading the book.

The story wasn't really about the Kennedy assassination, it was a scifi story about possible dangers in trying to change the future. It just used the Kennedy assassination as a vehicle to tell that story.

Been doing a rewatch. It is an interesting and well-done show. He has like 3 years before trying to stop the assassination so it's interesting the side stories he gets involved in.

what service is this on?
this is my favorite king book and probably one of the most engaging books I've ever read. I absolutely couldn't put it down. Would love to see it on the screen.

Ate you talking about the one with James Franco?

Some of the things that go back and forth between streaming services is strange to me. Max, Netflix, and D+ tend to protect their stuff but a lot of things on P+, Starz, Hulu, etc. tends to filter to other services. I distinctly remember 11.22.63 being one of Hulu’s early original series.

If you liked the book, be prepared to be disappointed.
"They" changed so many different things from the book which made it not as good as it could have been. "They", of course being this typical Hollywood showrunner:

I’ve read the book 3 times. It’s one of my favorites.
I decided to check out the series finally and had to stop after episode 3. It’s just so different, I couldn’t keep going. It doesn’t really work without him going back a few times to correct former mistakes.
Also, Bill being with him is stupid, and James Franco sucks.

Meh, you all are being too harsh, show was fine. Non-readers will miss a lot, just like any other book to movie/tv series.

The only thing that got me through the end:

I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the miniseries. Bought the book too but haven’t finished it yet.
