LSU is up to four in team portal transfer rankings per 247

Kiffin and his staff, despite all the media naysayers and homegrown chicken littles, are quietly and steadily putting together a top portal transfer team.
Penn State is number 1 with 24 commits, OK State number 2 with 26 commits and TT third with 13 commits. Speaking to the quality class LSU is putting together, LSU ranks number 4 with only ten commits.
LSU might end up being closer to 30 transfer commits than 20 and some of their big dominoes are yet to fall.
I hope the media and guys like Glen Guilbeau, who are mocking Kiffin for his portal king nickname, will have the balls to write stories admitting they were wrong when LSU ends up with a top five or better portal class.
Five of the top ten portal qbs are still available. Your have to believe Kiffin passed on Austin Simmons for a reason. he thinks he can do better. There are lots of offensive lineman left in the portal who are ranked higher than some of the LSU lineman who entered the portal.
I particularly like the emphasis on getting big play wr’s in the portal. The defense looks stout. It’s about a 1000 percent that whoever Kiffin gets, his offense will be light years better than the last two seasons for LSU.
QB is the key. The whole mood changes if LSU gets Demond Williams. LSU, Kiffin and Weis are the prefect fit for him. And I think people underestimate how good DJ Lagway or Deuce Knight could be in a Kiffin offense. Would Chambliss be climbing draft boards but for Kiffin?

Ignoring the noise and putting in the work.

It’ll be top 2 and with volume when it’s all set and done. You think we’ll finish without a qb or 3 on the roster? So many more players to be enveloped. Everyone wants instant gratification bc of our accessibility to information these days.

I just worry about holding out for williams and something happens where we miss out on him and Leavitt

Leavitt has too much baggage. Honestly he’s not worth the 6 million a year. Even if we miss on Williams I’d rather anyone else over Leavitt

You can bet that good WR portal grabs now will turn out to indicate really good OL and QB news as we get closer to the portal close. Good WR’s don’t just transfer on the hope of something good happening…their careers depend on a good QB and a line giving said QB time to make throws.

You guys act like these kids give a shite. They came because they got paid to

Biggest reason this number is low, is because ole miss players are still playing. Every other coach brings half his team when going to a new place. Kiffin should be no different, especially with a lot of the staff still there.
OM will fight it and overpay but everyone knows there’s a big drop off from Kiffin/Weis to Golding. The same people propping up OM and Golding thought Deion was going to turn Colorado into something just by talking.

Ranked merely based on the quantity instead of quality of recruits is stupid.
Pedo state got most of their portal guys from Iowa State and while I love my Cyclones (and Tigers) I don’t think for one minute you put a top 5 team together raiding Iowa State.

Once you accept the reality that articles in 2026 are written and spun for clicks you will understand.
No one wants to read about success at LSU with Kiffin but LSU fans. Every one of LSUs rivals wants to see failure.

Now 3rd with a higher average player ranking. I'm hopeful with the QB/OL situation, it will get better when they start dropping!
