Leavitt

-not the best teammate and a head case
-indecisive on where he wants to be
-injured and can’t practice for a very long time
-very expensive
-rental QB for 1-2 years, not our future

Longstreet

-consensus 5 star
-dynamic runner
-lower price tag
-from California
-has 4 years of eligibility left and can win us a national title

I've literally watched podcasts with his former teammates saying the exact opposite. I personally would love either QB, but let's not go making shite up to suit your preference. Just be happy with either/or, or even better, both, which I doubt will happen, but I can dream.

This is also something people are blowing out of proportion. Most fail to consider that he's not like the average recruit. He's married with two kids. He's making a thorough decision that's best for his family of four.

Agree. Why lost from Cali? That doesn’t make a player better…or worse

From Vermont…must be a bad player…what?

California QBs are often very polished and come from sophisticated high school programs.

Husan Longstreet played at Corona Centinial and lost to Mater Dei in the championship.

That league includes Mater Dei St. John Bosco and Santa margarita.
For reference think New Orleans catholic league but on steroids.

I don't know where this comes from.
I've seen articles about him being a good leader. I don't know him though.

I thought Arizona teammates were kind of upset at Daniels before he left. I don't remember though, but he has great character.

I don't care if you get a QB for one or two years any more. Especially if one is already established. Lane just had two great QBs b2b and one only played due to injury. Miami is going to a Natty with a 1 year QB.

Do you watch football? California consistently produces the most NFL quarterbacks by a significant margin. Lousiana has skill players, the Midwest have linemen, California has quarterbacks - Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, CJ Stroud, Sam Darnold, Bryce Young, Jordan Love, Jared Goff, Jayden Daniels, etc.

I'll happily take Leavitt, but would want a solid backup option just in case.

Link to suggest this outside of twitter or other social media please

quote:

-indecisive on where he wants to be

He is a young man, on whose feet a lot of money is being thrown. Can you blame him?

quote:

-injured and can’t practice for a very long time

This is a big risk. If he gets hurt, we will have a very long season as there is no Van Buren to back him.....I agree

quote:

-very expensive

Any upper classman who can play is expensive.

quote:

-rental QB for 1-2 years, not our future

Wake up and smell the coffee....Everybody is a rental....From head coach to the grass cutter in Tiger stadium.

You can train longstreet to be a Heisman trophy winner and he might switch to another school next year....Such is the nature of college football.

Only thing that is stable is instability
Only think that is certain is uncertainity.

The only think that you can count on is that if you are a contributing fan or booster your pockets will drain....

The only think athletic departments can count on is going bankrupt

Both are undecided.

Not sure how you infer the type of teammate either is.

Both are short term rentals (every player in CFB is.)

Both are dynamic runners.

Not sure how being from CA is better than being from anywhere else.

Leavitt is expensive, but has won a playoff game--so he has a resume of playing big time CFB.

I am not down on Longstreet...I actually like the possibility--but this is not only Cherry Picking, it's like "He loves me, he love me not" daisy picking.

C'mon man...do better.
