I opened this up based on the title thinking that it was about an idiot reporter who didn’t realize who won.

Instead I was extremely pleasantly surprised and refreshed to see a genuine nice interaction.

That man is gonna run home all the way and tell his momma that Miss Mavis gave him the Gold Star today in class.

Seriously, watching the evolution of his facial expression as it slowly sunk in that she wasn't fricking around with the compliment was great.

Knew as soon as i saw this every reporter under the sun would melt about “muh ethics”

I remember Guilbeau and Rabalais slamming some Reveille kid for congratulating one of the LSU wbb players on a great career

Awesome to see.

Taking a team 4-13; fired their HC to 13-4 in his first year. won the AFC south and if it wasn't for a great defensive play, had a chance with a minute left in the playoffs.

F people for hating, that is a RAPID growth for a team, he should be proud of that even though it sucked. They beat some REAL teams this year
- Houston
- SF
- KC with Mahomes
- LA Chargers
- Indy x2
- Denver (#1 Seed)

I don't often take the media's side, but the other reporters commenting on this are spot on. They have other credentialed media that had legit questions that got passed over so she could fangirl. Live at a press conference is not the forum to share your personal feelings, find him in the hall or shoot him a text after.

Plus it's patronizing as hell to act like this guy can't manage his feelings. Just a bizarre and unprofessional interaction.

Lol, it's a football game man. I doubt we missed out on any game changing questions and answers over a 19 second positive interaction. Josh Allen is better than T Law. That's the game. It's not that deep.

Love how the prostitutes in sports media act like they have some important job. What’s embarrassing is them pretending to matter.

Doubtful, their questions were likely 100% stupid and would have gotten a less genuine reaction and response than this one got.

Saw this on the local media live it kind of caught me off guard but it definitely was a human interaction and it caught Liam off guard too. It's a game and its sucks the jags lost and Liam was definitely upset they lost but sometimes you need this. He did a great job and had a great season but it's just football and life is good BE HAPPY and see you next year. GO JAGS!!

I have no problem with this. The world is so cruel and unkind, so this is honestly refreshing.

Anyone that has an issue with a fleeting, 30 second genuine human interaction at the end of a damn good season is part of the reason shite is so calloused and inhuman.

Reporters ask the same dumb arse questions over and over. Let this lady do her thing. No ground breaking information is going to slip through the cracks because she did this.

It's a very nice sentiment but probably shouldn't do it at the press conference. That she works at a smaller local outlet does change things.

I was in the trade … journalism is a trade, not a profession … for 49 years and covered sports at the highest levels for 20 of those years.

I have no problem with this.

Reporters on Twitter are making absolute FOOLS of themselves

Holy shite that is the most self important profession in the world. It’s embarrassing how esteemed they think they are that this is a travesty this woman did this. You are writing stories about sports. Get the frick over yourself. You are like the 1,565th most important job in this country

It was awesome
