Taking my wife to Iceland first week of September. We arrive on Saturday, September 5th and will spend that first day in Reykjavik before spending the next 10 days making our way around the Ring Road.Anyone know where I might could catch the game. Will end up missing the following week against Tech, but I can live with that. Really would like to see Clemson game.

No idea but they’re big on American TV there. One of the reasons everyone there speaks really good English.

I’m pretty sure Lebowski bar had TV’s with sports on them. It’s the only thing that comes to mind ( you should go there anyway because it’s a fun time and spin the wheel)
You may could get lucky at Hard Rock Cafe reyjavik as well.. I feel like they’d have sports on
But I’m not confident in either choice honestly.

If I'm in Iceland. The last fricking thing I'd be worried about is sports TV. Your wife will probably be swept off her feet by a Nordic alfa male!

How late do those places stay open though? It's going to be a late finish assuming it's a night game back home

American bar stays open until 4:30 am from what google says, on saturdays.
ETA: looks like Bjarni Fel has closed down since I was there. Olver looks to close around 1 am.

I understand where you are coming from but keep this in mind. We fly in that Saturday morning and will be spending that first day in Reykjavik seeing sites in town. I’m assuming the game will be a night game and Iceland is 3 hrs ahead I believe. Will likely be around 10PM by the time game starts. Between the jet lag and spending all day walking site seeing, My wife will be crashed out in the hotel room by that point. And if she is not, she will actually be just as interested as me in watching the game. I got a good one that loves the Tigers as much as I do. Nothing on our Iceland trip will be missed if I step out at 10Pm for a couple hours to watch the game. I have a camper van lined up for next morning and we will be spending the next 10 days camping out way around the entire island.
But hey, thanks for the great advice. It was so much more helpful than the other guys who actually suggested some places that may be showing it.

All good buddy. That’s why I didn’t fire back to harshly. Definitely pumped for the trip. And hey, if the old lady wants to invite some Nordic God or Godess into the camper van one night…..

Look up just winging it. It’s an American themed sports bar that will have American football on. The wings are delicious too.
Edited: they close at 9pm

So 50 minute Uber from airport and while riding to your hotel get the driver to swing by the Leif Erikson statue in front of the church and you will probably have seen “the sights” in Reykjavik. Seriously, the hotels are utilitarian mostly and the food is unique but perhaps not in a foodie kind of way. Get the game streaming on an app (make sure you have a vpn with US connection) as chances are you will be awake at 3am anyway
You are already doing great with ring road
