Why are Dems so successful at turning Congressional action into prosecutions?

The Trump DOJ should have charged Liz Cheney with witness tampering long ago. Crickets from the DOJ:
Biden's DOJ, on the other hand, was quick to act on any possible criminality referred to them by Congressional Dems.

Trump and the GOP have department heads and some upper staff while the Dems represent about 90% of federal employees. Resistance is deep and it would take a very big broom to clean it out.

Thanks. That's definitely a fair statement. It doesn't explain something as open and shut as Liz Cheney's witness tampering with Cassie Hutchinson. [She was the one who suddenly remembered being told the ludicrous story that Trump "lunged" at the steering wheel of the Beast on J6.]
The facts in that case aren't in dispute. Simply order a prosecutor to make the case.

She got an autopen pardon. We all know it was a bullshite pardon, but you still have to get around it in the courts which is not an easy uphill climb

That also helps Dems in their attempts to cram things through without sufficient oversight, meanwhile it causes conservative causes to get slow-walked or even ignored. Border enforcement is a great example.
For years we were told we needed "comprehensive immigration reform" in order to stem the tide of illegals crossing our borders. It became such a strong mantra (thanks, media) that the weak-minded RINO-adjacent GOP members in Congress adopted it in order to go-along/get-along. Trump came in (twice now) and merely enforced the laws already on the books...
let me say that again:

Also, good point, but those pardons need to be challenged in court. It's an affirmative defense, so she would have the burden of proving that the pardon was valid.

That is especially true in DC if it were to go to trial due to any jury being drawn from a pool of 90% dems.
