Take it for what it’s worth. No, I’m not going to say who I got a chance to bullshite with, but he may know a thing or two…

The Saints are very interested in Love. The problem is, so is KC, and we all remember what happened the last time KC had its eye on a player we liked a lot. There is a very real possibility the Saints and KC may play frick frick games and try to leap frog one another; KC trying to gauge where they can jump to, and the Saints trying to beat them to the punch. I genuinely hope this doesn’t happen.

Also keep an eye out for Etienne. He may not fit the mold, but he would be a guy who could buy us some time until we find “that” guy.

Expect Kamara to retire, move on, or take a huge pay cut. Think Jordan’s contract this year kind of incentive laden deal.

The Saints are very interested in upgrading the TE spot. They want a guy who can block and be effective in the passing game (duh). There is a chance they grab one in FA and in the draft.

They are definitely going to resign Olave unless something absolutely bonkers happens. Expect that deal to be around 30m per year. I think this is short sighted too, and would rather move him than spend that kind of money. They see a need for a big WR and if the right guy is there, will grab him. Newsflash: Olave is an elite 2.

All of these things make total sense when you look at Moore’s offense. We need a bell cow ball carrier for it to be most effective, and being able to run 31 personnel is a nightmare for opposing teams. It provides added protection for Shough, it’s easier to run out of, and it can create a lot of match up problems if you have the right guys to run it.

It’s way too early to get deep into the weeds about this stuff, but I thought I’d share.

I forgot to add, apparently the Saints are still stuck on that damn measurable metric, because they are not that keen on Bain. Too light to be an end and too heavy to be on the edge in their 34. They do like Avril Reese.

I want downs but didnt get a warm and fuzzy when I mentioned it, but acknowledged that an elite safety would unlock this defense.

Arm length is a terrible reason to pass on O Line and D Line..See Will Campbell and Hendrickson.

I dont understand the Olave stuff..

He's clearly WR1 on this team, even if hes not a true WR1 on most NFL teams.. and beyond him, we dont have much of anything in the cupboard.. So we want to dump/trade Olave and take a WR1 in the draft? That would leave us with one WR and a bunch of scrubs - exactly where we are now.

Is Olave worth $30 million? Probably not..

Is Olave + Tate/Tyson worth $35 million? Id say so.

Is Olave + Chris Bell worth $32 million? Absolutely

Arm length

He’s not even in the standard deviation range for arm length (1”). Like 3 inches shorter than the average DE

Campbell 32 5/8th (way different than Bain)

Bain 30.75” estimated

33.5” is the mean

I like Chris Brazzell WR from Tennessee.. Played at Tulane then transferred... Got the height 6'5" and speed.. Could be first round but I think we can get him in the second...

Nice

The drop at DT and RB seems really big this year to the next tier. There are lots of no1 guys where we pick and every dang team would want Love on their roster so to be clear

And we are not moving up to the easily panicked

That wouldn’t or shouldn’t suprise any of us. I don’t think Bain makes it to 8 though.

Dear god can the offseason start already

It’s a combination of things for me. First, giving him 30m seems crazy. He isn’t a 1, and he had a serious run on concussions.

If a team out there parted with a 1 and some other pick swaps, you could find a more prototypical 1 without the injury concerns and a 30m dollar price tag.

It’s really hard for me to justify 30m for a 2, even if he is elite at that position, and Olave is elite. It would be like paying a nickel or a safety CB1 money.

$30MM for a banged up WR

A Top 10 pick for a RB.

I couldn't imagine a worse start to the offseason for this team.

If you look at the WR room as a whole, and you were able to get a guy who could play the X and handle the whole route tree in the draft, then it’s more palatable.

As for Love, we could do worse. I’m not for trying to out position KC for him though, frick that noise.

Edit: I’m just happy to be excited about my team. I thought it was going to be a very long and cold winter, but we got the guy at QB. HOLY shite!

Lest we forget RBs grow on trees.

This offense doesn't need 1 guy. It needs 2-3 guys who can rock and catch passes out the backfield.

The Saints just don't learn from their mistakes.

Yes but…

Look at Kellen’s offense. It runs optimally with a bell cow, a real WR1, and TEs.

I’m not overjoyed to burn our top pick on. RB, but I understand the logic.

We ain’t to the point where we can take a RB with a top 10 pick… WR, CB, OL and pass rusher far more important to this team… Love special but you can find a running back just as effective .., probably not more talented but just as effective
