Longstreet move to Kiffin can't bode well for Riley

Riley was once heralded as the QB whisperer and offensive guru, interesting how folks will view this.

He’s not had the NIL support there that he thought he would. They have fallen behind. If Texas Tech doesn’t have a monster year next season, we probably all see the writing on the wall. Longstreet probably did as well.

Report that I saw was that he lost faith in USC staff in terms of what was promised on his deal. Or something to that affect.

I think Riley is very bode

Wouldn't mind seeing Stewart get disillusioned.

Apparently Husan lost trust in the coaching staff when they promised him certain things that never came to fruition.

In portal era, doesn’t mean much when he has his starter. Hell Husan could end up back there. We’re in the Wild West. Enjoy one year at a time. Program players are more of something of the last

Pretty sure they had a high 4 star qb in that loaded 26 class. Riley will never have an issue getting talented qbs

They've had good NIL support. He's spending it on high schoolers. They also might have a legit cost of living adjustment issue.

I know he went there but if they're looking for a guy to take them the next step he's an odd choice. Even when he had it rolling at OU he'd have some unexpected stumble then lose the major bowl. Now he doesn't even do that.

I once wore a bow, as I bowled; I was bold, but it didn't bode well.
Sorry. Had to.

If Riley continues to have decent seasons, or maybe makes a playoff, and Texas Tech continues to teeter falling apart against great teams, I do see that as a choice for them. Not saying it’s a guarantee obviously.
Regardless, there have been rumblings about Riley not being happy. It’s not hard for that kind of stuff to trickle down to the players. Especially when your coach’s name is all over job openings. An issue that we may have to deal with as well at some point.

There's 200+ billionaires in California. You'd think at least one would've stepped up for USC, like Knight for Oregon, Ellison for UM, etc.
When NIL first started, I thought for sure USC would dominate the portal. But maybe it's just a small percentage of billionaires that are actually from southern California and actually like football.

Too much in LA to worry about football. Most people there aren’t sports fans, definitely not college.

Omg lol!!!!!!! Now please go to the poli board. Both republicans and democrats are here for football. We get enough of this shite on the rest of the internet.

Or maybe Riley had a full season to evaluate him and let him walk like he did Malachi Nelson
