Program is seemingly cursed. Terrible injury luck

Terrible luck tonight, although it should have never gotten as close as it did

The program was winning until he took it over and drove it off a cliff

He’s not a bad basketball coach but 14-44 is just something you can’t survive. Program needs a revival and that requires a total reset. He’ll find his footing

He has built up a lot of wealth courtesy of LSU to console him.

I think everyone acknowledges he’s a nice guy but he just isn’t the right fit here. Hopefully he catches on somewhere else and does well

Why was there an opening for him to take over at all? Also Dale Brown anyone?

Snake. Bit.

McMahon's a genuinely nice guy, but that doesn't translate to wins.

Don't tell some people this. It's all on McMahon!

Based on what? What did he do right tonight? The final play was a complete disaster. We barely ran an offense in the 2nd half. I saw zero positives.

His record here didn't get this bad by luck.

I don’t feel sorry for McMahon whatsoever…. I feel sorry for the LSU players that have to play for this fraud…in 4 years the blame can’t all be placed on the players..who coaches them?…

I don’t like the way the program is going but let’s not pretend he wasn’t set up to fail. I don’t remember the number but pretty sure we lost everyone after Wade was fired

this is a very contradictory statement. How can you say he’s anything but terrible?

oh yeah if you completely ignore all the circumstances regarding the previous coach's firing and McMahon's hiring.

I agree that he’s not a bad coach, but he doesn’t push the needle and provides no spark from an entertaining value

At some point, you make your own luck. He is what his record says he is.

Man I shouldn’t have to explain this but you don’t get where he is by being a bad basketball coach. He’s in the top 99.98% of his career. He hasn’t accumulated talent and he’s had bad injury luck. Both of those things have translated to a dogshit record. Which will get him fired. You’ll see him as a head coach in the NCAA tourney elsewhere before long, this just isn’t the right job or place for him
